Excellent service and delicious food. Amazing people, special thanks to server Sanisha and the manager. Make you feel home. Great taste A++Food: 5/5
Had an amazing experience with the takeout from here. The shawarma was grilled to perfection, with spices that sang with authentic Lebanese flavor. Paired with fluffy, fragrant rice and smooth, rich hummus, each bite was a delight. The salad was fresh and zesty, and the pita bread, warm and inviting. It’s hard to find food this good outside of Lebanon. Can’t wait to go back for more!
Wow. I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food was incredible. There were 4 of us eating and we shared some platters and a plate of kabobs. All the hummus was amazing, the meat was so good. I loved it all. We got there less than an hour before closing time, but the service was amazing and they didn’t rush us or do anything to make us feel like they were trying to close. We were thirsty after a day of seeing monuments downtown and they refilled our water so quickly! An amazing experience. We will for sure be back.
It's one of my favorite Lebanese restaurants. My friends don't like it much and believe that it's overpriced. Love the bread and zaatar Love the lentil Soup I love the taboule They have a lot of good options, I love almost everything they have except for the grilled things mix grill.. shishtawook.. kofta.. etc. those are dry and not the best. Parking available
The food tastes good as always. However, the waiting time to get the food is unacceptable. There were only one couple in the entire restaurant when we arrived. What would be the waiting time to serve food if it were busy? The server didn’t check on us for anything at all. We have to ask for the check and left. Some of the foods on the menu are a bit expensive for no special reason comparing to other Mediterranean restaurants.
Lebanese Taverna is a welcome change of pace in a world full of fast food eateries. We tried a few of their menu items and were impressed with everything that was tried. The service was quick and attentive! If you like hummus, you will love theirs! It is the best hummus that I have ever had, it was smooth, creamy, and delicious with the homemade Flatbread. Both versions of Shawarma are tasty, but the beef and lamb was more flavorful than the chicken. Take the time to not drive past this restaurant, stop the car and and enjoy some Lebanese food, you will not be sorry! Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian options on the menu. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant has the usual amenities for little ones like booster seats and high chairs. Wheelchair accessibility: The building is ADA compliant at the entrance. All tables are on the same first floor with no obstructions in the path for an individual in a wheelchair.
Growing up, Lebanese Taverna was fantastic. Over the past few years it has gone down so much- the prices are absolutely outrageous for the quality. The Fattoush salad was awful. The Chicken Fetteh was so dry we could not swallow it. and overall the meal was terrible. Very sad to share this review as we have always been fans of this place. I hope you guys get your act together and put some love back in the kitchen and food preparation.
The Pita, Hommus Special, Grilled Kafta Sandwhich, and Shrimp Arak are amazing. The servers are friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I do NOT recommend the Taverna Platter, everything with it- the fattoush and lebanese rice- are incredible, but the sauce served with the chicken shawarma tasted like it was a ketchup based sauce.
I moved from Virginia & hadn't been here for +15 years. I used to go here frequently with my wife and children and extended family when this was their only location. Visited recently with my wife and some friends and wow their food/cooking has gone downhill. I thought perhaps it was what I ordered, but that was the consensus among all 6. Too bad you can't eat a memory ;
Lebanese Taverna is an upscale restaurant in Arlington serving traditional and gourmet Medditranean fare. Inside the restaurant they have dimmed lights and black tablecloths. The servers will quickly bring you hot pita bread while you survey the tempting menu that includes shawarma sandwiches, salads, and gourmet entrees. The chicken shawarma sandwich was chockfull of warm, juicy meat with a traditional yogurt dressing and fresh vegetables. The only problem with Lebanese Taverna is that staff is very slow preparing your food. Don't expect to get out of here in less than an hour and a half.
