Story

The Lebanon NH Fire Department is a combination fire department providing Fire, EMS and Fire Prevention services to the City of Lebanon, NH and several surrounding communities.

The motto of our nation's fire service is "To Save Lives And Protect Property." This is reflected in the motto of the Lebanon Fire Department, coined in 1800s, "Ever Vigilant."

Mission

This is reflected in the motto of the Lebanon Fire Department, coined in 1800s, "Ever Vigilant." Today, the Lebanon Fire Department utilizes a mission statement that defines both mottos in terms of our citizens' needs.

"The Lebanon Fire Department, meeting the needs of an informed community in a fiscally responsible manner."

This mission statement is carried out through two strategies administered by the department. These strategies, Prevention and Emergency Response, exist to meet the threats that challenge Lebanon's quality of life. As our City evolves, the department modifies, updates and alters the programs that support these strategies to save lives, protect property and maintain the tax base.

These activities include administrative planning, purchasing, clerical, building and vehicle maintenance, training, research and development, etc.
