To keep the guidelines that google review request, I would like to mention a review on an employment website. I can not mention the website itself but after reading my review you might be able to figure it out on your own. The clerks are the eyes and ears of all the good, the bad, and the ugly of courts, judges, and the abomination of The State Attorney, (ret.) Joe D'Alessandro and his side kick Steven Russel. " Current Employee - Anonymous Employee of over eight years in Fort Myers, FL goes on to say; "If you work hard, like playing office politics, don't rock the boat, and kiss up, you can do very well." Then the clerk goes on to say;" Doesn't Recommend " " I have been working at Lee County Clerk of Court full-time " As long as you schmooze the right people and work hard, you can do well." Doesn't Recommend I have been working at Lee County Clerk of Court full-time Pros "As long as you schmooze the right people and work hard, you can do well." "Depending on your position, you might like working there." "Cons " When they do something illegal, they cover it up and/or lie about it. I've seen this first hand for many years, and they pressure you to participate. Everything is about public image, but they hide what they can get away with, although they've knowingly been out of compliance for many years." " If you are a principled person, you may not go very far. Favoritism abounds. The culture is that much of management expects everyone to play ball. Forget about getting promotions based solely on doing a great job . " " Pay for many positions is lower than the private sector." The Clerks advice to the administration is as follows; Step up and be responsible for complying with law." " Don't penalize good workers because they aren't the type to play office politics. Treat them with respect for having principles." " Pay employees more at the market rate. Benefits aren't so good that they make up for lower pay.The pay increases are not there. There is no bonus for learning new tasks above your job description. They need to overhaul the system." The Clerks at the Court House goes on to say about the supervisor's interview " " The Interview; Manager was late, she didn't apologize, and she didn't seem to care. She and the other interviewer were judgmental and snippy at times and lighthearted at other times. Most of the questions were fair and pretty standard. The interview lasted around 45 minutes. The manager was obviously a power-tripper and not all that respectful. She was dishonest and misleading about the office culture."....... I would like to know more about THE ILLEGAL STUFF THAT GOES ON IN THAT DUMP ! I would like to know more about WHAT THEY COVER UP ! Thank you clerk of court for your integrity and honesty and I hope someone will speak up and do something about " THE CREEPS OF THE COURT HOUSE" Falsifying Intelligent Records stealing private property and land, and constant civil rights violations and fraud. Do not do business with this courthouse.
