We are sorry to hear when a patient is dissatisfied with our service.  I have been practicing in the Scarsdale area since 1999. My hygienists and I provide responsible, caring and ethical dental care.  We don't recommend treatments that our patients absolutely don't need or will receive no benefits.  With that said, there are different level of care among different providers.  With every patient, we evaluate his/her oral conditions with diet, habits, genetic risk factors, home care, etc to decide what care a patient may need.  This is especially important when it is a child and getting his/her new permanent teeth.  For example, a poorly placed, worn, or lost sealant will serve the tooth very little or no protection even if it just done yesterday.  Another example, we don't normally recommend and seal non-permanent-molars because they give much less benefits for an average individual.  As for fillings, there may be some gray areas where a dentist may choose to defer because it is too small.  For me, a child with adult teeth, I would rather be proactive then leaving some small lesions (cavity or natural defects) without treatment.  Almost always, even the smallest lesions do and can develop into something big possibly needing large fillings, crowns, root canals, or even lost of teeth in a just few years.  This is not I am willing to risk with my patients especially the young ones getting new set of adult teeth which will need to serve for the rest of their lives.  With our recommended care, I can assure you that many of our patients required much less aggressive dentistry than those who did not proceed with our recommended care over some period of their adult life.  Please do ask questions and understand our treatment philosophy and why we are recommending certain treatments before jumping into conclusion that we are all about making a quick buck.   Thank you. If I could give this dentist 0 stars I would! My sons previous dentist had left the group so I brought my 8 year old to Dr Lee. I have no dental insurance and was paying cash for my sons dental work. I was charged $180 for exam and cleaning at Dr Lee's office. I was told after the exam my son had 5 cavities and needed 4 sealants. Work that would all together cost me $1,600. My son had sealants done less then a year ago so I was becoming suspicious something wasn't right and wasn't sure why he would need them again so soon. Coincidently my sons previous dentist office called me to let me know their office still didn't have a pediatric dentist but had a great dentist who was seeing children as well as adults and I decided to make an appointment with them as I already knew how good their office was from previous visits. After his exam with his previous dentist office we come to find out my son doesn't have any cavities!! His sealants are in perfect shape and he doesn't need any dental work!! Dr Lee is a rip off and a liar! Not only did he try to scam me out of $1,600 for unnecessary dental work but he would have put my 8 year old through 5 fillings and 4 sealants for no reason besides to fatten his pockets!! I am thankful I found out the truth from a REAL dentist before I let Dr Lee touch my sons mouth or begin any work! I would not recommend this so called dentist aka scam artist to ANYONE!!
