Only Real Taiwan Fried Chicken in NYC! If you want the real Taiwan fried chicken in NYC, this is the only spot, period! I tried lots of places claiming themselves are Taiwanese , but they just couldn’t get the taste 50% right But stumbling upon this place was a happy accident. The chicken here is truly Amazing. It’s huge, too – enough to share with a friend. It reminded me of Taiwan’s night markets, which I miss a lot. I love it here and I’ll be back often. If you want authentic Taiwan fried chicken, come here. 100% won’t be disappointed!
Their new chicken cutlet bento is pretty good! Their legend pops is also a must try! Good Taiwanese flavor!Food: 5/5
Decent place for Taiwanese style fried chicken and snacks, aggressive pricing. 5 stars because of the price which was aggressive for the level of food quality at this shop. Cheaper and the same quality as the Taiwanese place in the New World Mall Food Court. They make it all to order and everything we tried was solid. Would come back again.
Wonderful place for Taiwanese fried chicken. The price is great and they give huge portions. The chicken is fried when you order so it's juicy, crunchy, and doesn't taste oily at all. The seasoning on the chicken is really nice, you get to chose your spice levels, but they're not too spicy. Overall the flavor is amazing.
Amazing chicken. I ordered popcorn chicken and it had the right amount of spice. This is my first time tasting Taiwanese chicken. I usually don’t order fried food, but this place is too good to pass up. I’m looking forward to trying the calamari, green beans, and tofu. Update: tried Calamari and it was good
Updated: 10/2022 I love the chicken here but I hate to take stars off because they are over charging without even telling me or advertised. I like my food spicy so I ask for extra spicy and they charge 50cents for that, but the whole menu theres no mention spicy level is extra charge and only add-ons are extra abut they are not spicy option. It's so disappointing that business doing things like this. If you want extra charge, PUT ON THE MENU This place located in a small corridor with couple of the stores inside. All the places are just pick up only no seating area. It can get crowded at peak lunch or dinner time. I ordered one legend chicken and one leg cutlet it’s $12 each, I asked for extra spicy but they charged extra $0.5 each that is not mentioned in the their menu, it’s not expensive but it’s annoying that why people do that if spicy level doesn’t mention is extra on the menu. The chicken are delicious and large portion, they are made to order so there’s a little wait time. I wish they mentioned the chicken is bone in, There’s a big piece of bone inside, for the ones don’t like bone I recommend to order the leg cutlet it’s boneless.
Legend Chicken is located inside the tiny Foody Town Flushing food court. I love this hole in the wall spot. It’s the second stall as you enter and it is counter service only. They have seating on the second floor. Food is made to order so expect a small wait—average time of about ten minutes. On our last visit, we ordered: Legend pops: Fried chicken pieces with basil seasoning. Chicken is cooked well but still juicy. Perfect food for on the go. You can customize the level of spice. I find the medium spicy to be plenty spicy. Legend chicken: big piece of boneless breast, fried and seasoned. The first time I got this, my piece was burnt. I prefer the legend pops. Tator tots: love the crunchy exterior and soft inside. Sweet potato fries: has a light coating of powdered garlic-delicious! Fried garlic string beans: lightly fried with garlic pieces. String beans retained nice crunch and vibrant color. A surprisingly good vegetable dish. Per the sign near the counter, all of the chicken used are cage free, hormone free and halal certified.
Stumbled on to this place and wanted to try their advertised product the famous Taiwanese pop corn chicken. I’ve had pop corn chicken from other Taiwanese restaurants, but nothing like this. These were sooo good! Amazing! Very crispy and flavorful with just mildly spicy. Want to return and try some other things on the menu!
Taiwanese fried chicken place with various fried foods. I got the legend chicken and it's almost exactly the same as the ones you can get in Taiwan. It comes out piping hot and is pounded thin so each bite is full of crispy goodness. Next time I might try the popcorn chicken or fried chicken thigh.
Get the string beans and imperial tofu! They are really good!Food: 5/5
