The hired waitress is good but the owner is NOT a respectful and interested waitress. The first time she waited on my table, I left her no tip. Not because she's the owner but because she sucks. The second time she waited on my table, when she brought the check, she told me, "Last time, you did not tip me. I will have to add 15% to your bill." I looked at her directly and said, "Tipping is not mandatory. It depends on the SERVICE." She looked directly back at me and said, "OK. Next time you can only have Take-Out." Previous to this foul ending, as I was finishing my entree, she sat at her booth eating and watching her small TV. I waved her over. She looked at me and put her spoonful of food in her mouth and looked back to her TV. The second time she didn't even look my way. (There were no other customers in the restaurant.) The third time, I distinctly waved her over and she got up.. collected a box, a bag and the check before coming over to find out I ACTUALLY WANTED TO ORDER DESSERT. She brought it to go. And gave me her declaration she was "extorting" (my word) 15% for herself, she told me. Until I seemed to tell her the news (stated above) tips depend on service and are not mandatory. Wow! This woman can't get fired. If she wants to make business policy like this (she apparently feels she can as she's the owner) why doesn't she just raise her prices?

Wow! The food was scrumptious. This from a guy who has been to Thailand 7 times. Great food, excellent service and kind receptive staff. Very fresh food at an extremely reasonable price. Used to eat at this restaurant in Fishkill, NY before they relocated to New Paltz. Still other Thai restaurants in Fishkill and Beacon but I travel half an hour away to Lemongrass because the food is so delectable.

A very nice and authentic place. Our portions were large (mine could satisfy two normal persons, for sure) and tasty, could easily recommend.
