Today I brought my 3 year old grand daughter to fire station #2 because she wanted to see the fire truck. The firemen were so welcoming and gentle with her. Although she was shy at the time, she talked about how much she enjoyed the fire station and the firemen on the way home. Thank you fireman for making a little girl's day.

On April 18th at 4:45 A.M. I called 911 because my husband was having a heart attack. The Lenexa fire Dept. station 2 arrived 5 minutes later, then the ambulance about 2 minutes after the fire department. They attended to my husband immediately and literally saved his life. When they arrived at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, The cardiologist on duty, Dr. Pierson, told us twice that those men saved my husband's life. Their immediate response and life saving techniques were done in a professional and calm manner. They are our heroes. We are thankful that we live in a place where these kinds of services are just minutes away, because a few minutes may mean the difference between life and death. We paid them a visit to say thank you and we mean that from the bottom of our hearts. God bless them!
