Best fish on Thursday nights.  Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  All you can eat buffet.

Took back roads to avoid the heavy traffic from Hurricane Irma. We stopped here and the food was amazing! We had the buffet and everything was fresh! Very friendly staff! Great desserts too!

I've been going to Lester's for over 20 years when passing through the small rural town of Estill in west-central South Carolina. Since Lester passed there's been three owners. I'd been disapponted in visits since his passing but decided to give Lester's another try.
I ordered the $11 lunch buffet and a half pound of streak-o-lean to go. The cashier said they no longer offer it. She explained that they "don't slaughter hogs the way they used to". Then I noticed they no longer serve Lester's unique, mustard seed based sauce. Regardless, I sampled several items from a greatly expanded buffet including their signature chopped pork bar-b-que, mac and cheese, collards, baked cornbread stuffing, hushpuppies and a different BBQ sauce. Everything was homemade and delicious. I noticed that many cutomers were eating fried chicken. It must be good too.
I had room to sample a couple deserts. Their Watergate Salad was great. The Chocolate Delight was beyond sinful!
Ernestine, who worked for Lester for 25 years, is the owner. Her business, which must be 99% local, is booming.
Lester's is well worth your time to go out of the way for a visit.

Great place to eat with the family any day of the week. Great home cooked food and homemade desserts.
