The Lewes Police Department is a municipal law enforcement agency located in Sussex County, Delaware. The department consists of a police chief, twelve full-time officers, and an administrative assistant. Within the Department, there are several specialized units such as Criminal Investigation, Bicycle Patrol (seasonal), Beach Patrol (life guards) Meter Police, and a Canine Unit. Together, the members of the department provide high quality, professional community oriented police services to our citizens.
If you have an emergency that requires an immediate response, DIAL 9-1-1 to report the emergency to the Sussex County Emergency Dispatch Center so that the appropriate assistance can be made available as quickly as possible.
