Last month, I had to get my free steak dinner at Lewis Prime Grill $40 birthday discount when you dine on your exact birthday. There's no doubt that they have one of the best steakhouses in Palm Beach but the fried lobster and Miso Seabass were also phenomenal. So good! But they don't have coconut pie they only serve it at Okeechobee Steakhouse. Bummer! The ambiance is very casual, bar scene type of thing than steakhouse type. We've been to Lewis Steakhouse in Jupiter which has a much nicer vibes. Our server was a young guy and very knowledgeable. We were impressed by him. I would definitely come back again just for the food but would come in a very casual attire - short and jeans.
WOWWWW The minute we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The service here was amazing to say the least. Dylan was our server who was extremely attentive and kind, the food and drink was phenomenal and we were lucky enough to meet chef Josh, a true artist and a passionate chef who was very knowledgeable about the ingredients he uses. This was such a pleasant last minute date my husband and I had. We are very happy we decided to come to Lewis Prime tonight. We’ll definitely be back for more! Thank you again for such a great first experience!
We had waited to visit Lewis Prime Grill because we wanted it to not be a "run out and grab a bite" dinner but instead be a relaxing, enjoyable evening with a good meal. We were not disappointed. We started at the bar - Manhattan for him, Old Fashioned for me. After drinking about half, I discovered they offered smoke infused Old Fashioneds. There is a Happy Hour app menu with sliders and bacon wrapped shrimp, adding other things, all under $10 and available from 4p-7p. We will plan for that next visit. When we were seated in a booth, we already had an idea of what we would order. Kaitlin was a wonderful server, not rushing us, and setting a leisurely place for the evening. We each ordered another drink - this time, I got the smoked old fashion. She asked if we would like apps and instead told her we would like to start by splitting a wedge salad. It arrived with plenty of bacon, tomatoes, onions, and blue cheese on the iceberg. After we finished that, Kaitlin took our dinner order. We knew there was bread service available but learned you need to request it. They do that to avoid the waste of people not actually eating the bread. When our dinners arrived, we were once more delighted with the presentation and portion size. He got a filet 8 oz, which is not disclosed in the menu with baked potato, I got steak and shrimp tenderloin beef tips with bacon wrapped shrimp with bourbon Chipotle glaze and a loaded baked potato. We both received bernaise sauce and an herbed butter with our meat, items that are an upcharge in most steakhouses. Truthfully, the meats had enough flavor on their own, but who can resist herbed butter? The bacon wrapped shrimp were fantastic! And the potatoes were so large, we should have ordered a potato and a vegetable and split them. Kaitlin, throughout, was attentive, but she never made us feel rushed. The atmosphere in Lewis Prime Grill was intimate with booths for privacy and soft lighting. It was quiet, compared to many steakhouses we visited, even though nearly all tables and seats at the bar were filled. Before going, we had heard the prices were high. We found them to be comparable to our former local haunt, Big Bear Brewing, in Coral Springs. We're so happy to have found this gem right around the corner from us. I know it will be our new, frequently visited restaurant.
Service was PHENOMENAL. If I could separate this review, for food vs. service it would be 5 star. BUT I can’t and so here we are. Food was mediocre for the most part and the tomahawk steak was one of the worst I have ever had. When we finally received our order took FOREVER the sides though, were very tasty but literally were only a taste, the SMALLEST SIDES I’ve ever had outside of a kids dinner. If they were larger I would say I would be back for just sides and drinks, but I don’t think I’ll be doing that. The atmosphere is tight seating and don’t bother dressing up little…business casual is too dressy for this loxahatchee establishment. I mean you can’t even walk in the door without walking through the cloud of smoke, that is promoted by the wonderful ash bucket next to it. I’ll wait for our snobby Wellington restaurants to open or I’ll go to Palm Beach Gardens.
From the outside View of the restaurant it looked dark and closed, greeted well the manager stopped by she was pleasant our server was full of energy food and temperature was right on. Overall really nice evening new location in a very fast City that's growing they shouldn't have any problem. Definitely would go back. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were offered Dietary restrictions: If you ask they will accommodate Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility are seen
This is our second time at Lewis Prime, and it is absolutely amazing! During this visit, our server Candice made great recommendations for the burger and salmon, and both are delicious! We started with the blue cheese salad and French onion soup, and both are excellent! I highly recommend the baked spinach, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese as sides. We had the filet last visit, and it was cooked to perfection! I can't wait to try their happy hour menu...the bar was definitely hopping when we were there. This place is a gem in Loxahatchee! We love the Okeechobee steakhouse, and Lewis Prime is our new favorite restaurant! Excellent food and service!
Impeccable service and tasty food. Brand new restaurant from the same family as Okeechobee Steakhouse in West Palm Beach. They had their opening last night. The bar is beautiful with an excellent selection of drinks. This restaurant has a very cozy and relaxing ambiance; would be great for a date night or family gatherings. Lighting in here is on the darker side. Can't wait to go back and try different dishes!
I’m so sad!!!! My husband and I were so excited to come here. We’re big fans of Okeechobee Steakhouse so we’ve been waiting to try this place since they’re owned by the same family. We came for the Easter menu. I had the Delmonico with the spinach Victoria and my husband had the steak and shrimp. We also ordered the Korean beef sliders for an app and I ordered the LPG cosmo drink. Husband and I both ordered our steaks medium. They both came out rare. My husband is a chef and knows the difference. He was fine with his steak being rare but I couldn’t take it because the delmonico is a large piece of steak and I couldn’t with how cool and raw it was in the center. I took one bite and just knew. I’ve never sent my food back at a restaurant before ever!!! But I had to. So I showed the waiter and he agreed it was rare, not even medium rare. So they take it back and when they bring it back it’s still barely cooked. I was shocked and disappointed really. But I didn’t want to send it back for a second time out of panic they’d spit on it or something. So I chopped it up to make sure it was rare all around and it was sadly. So I asked for a box and I packed it all up myself which I thought was weird for being associated with Okeechobee. And I brought it home so my husband could cook it right. The spinach Victoria was delicious. My husband loved his bacon wrapped shrimp but agreed the steak wasn’t great. Definitely shocked and disappointed. But overall it was a decent experience. The place is gorgeous. The drink was so good and the Korean sliders were good! We both just agreed it’s missing a sauce maybe to just dip it in. We may return in the future. Maybe after a year or so their chef making the steaks can learn a bit more on how to check the temps properly. Thanks for reading my long review!
Birthday Dinner at Lewis Prime did not disappoint. Everything is run like a well oiled machine. The service is impeccable but not overbearing. Hostess was smiling and very friendly. All of the staff was very accommodating to any requests we may have had and the FOOD.... UNBELIEVABLE!!! I ate the lobster tail PLAIN...no butter needed!!! It literally melts in your mouth and my bday cake...my inner fat girl was on top of the world. I can't wait to visit again..which will be soon because I heard they are now doing weekend BRUNCH with bottomless mimosas!!!! Win!!!!! If you have not yet been...it's a Must!!! Thank you LP for an amazing evening on my birthday!!!
Have visited several times now and still not sold. Will stick to happy hour drinks and items vs dinner. Tomahawk overpriced and way smaller than smallest steak entree see pic below of how served and no nothing was cut off or touched yet!. If rating this dish will give 1.5*. Will try once more before calling it quits but will stick to bar as better service and will refrain from the tomahawk as extremely overpriced for size given and presentation. Or maybe better yet go to original location on Okeechobee.
