The staff were so familiar with each other discussing the music and boyfriends, I felt as if I was intruding when I interrupted to ask a question. I found a flattering pair of shorts, which I bought even though they were WAY overpriced. Later that afternoon, after finding other better priced sorts, I came back to return my item at LF. The sales girl told me I could only get store credit. When I explained that she hadn't told me that earlier in the day, she said "Well its right on the bottom of your receipt." So, you have to buy something before they try to let you know in very small print that you cant return items for refund. She seemed too daft to do anything for me. In retrospect, I realize this is their corporate customer service policy - play ignorant or incapable in order to get away with ripping off the customer. I called the corporate office in CA to let them know their store policy of no refunds is not listed anywhere and the staff in the Cambridge store are not telling customers at check out. The CA customer service promised to get back to me with an answer to my problem. I called them four times over the course of two weeks. I always got a promise that "someone would call me". Nothing ever happened. I wont be shopping at LF again and will tell everyone I know to steer clear of them.
