I made arrangements six months in advance to rent one of the vacation homes. I tried to make arrangements sooner, but was told, "Wait until January." Less than one and a half months before my vacation I received a brief letter, not a phone call, stating my vacation was cancelled. Really? It's okay - I found somewhere else better to stay. BEWARE. (If I could remove the one star, I would.)

All in all, a pleasant stay.  We rented the captain's cabin which housed our very large family well.  The beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well, the view was incredible and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cookware.  It is obviously an older house, with some water stains on the ceilings upstairs, but that didn't bother us at all.

One of the two complaints we had were addressed immediately.  There was a major ant problem in the entry way.  The maintenance guy dropped some ant poison, and we didn't see them for the remainder of the stay.  Great deal; was very pleased with that.  

The other was that they advertised WiFi to the property, but it apparently didn't reach our structure.  When we asked about it, the maintenance man said that he received it every so often in the front yard.  Had I known that it wouldn't be available during our stay, I would have most certainly chosen another place.  If the owner of the property reads this, I would recommend that you invest in an extender.  It's a small investment that would have made a big difference in this review.

We are currently staying at the Captains Quarters.  Nice house but owners are very deceiving.  Led us to believe the house was on the beach.  The only beach access is at the public park down the road.  We were also told the grill in the yard works.  It did not.  There are not enough seats in the living room for all the guests.  We are highly disappointed!  When we asked for a discount we were denied.  Website also indicated that there was a washer and dryer which there is not!  Very disappointed.  We will never rent off these owners again!  Also,  we were told there is wifi.  We could not connect at all!!!!

There is a infestation of cockroaches and when we got back we got bedbugs

My family's been going here since my gram was younger it's switched owners a couple of times but all in all it's a pretty nice place to stay aside from the giant Hill LOL
