Went for a quick lunch on Monday. Both our dishes were deep fried which I’m not a fan. Service was excellent. Noise level is LOUD due to concrete floor and a high ceiling. The music in the bathroom was so loud I thought I was in a nightclub. Other reviewers photos show the food looking wonderful. Either we had a lunch menu with fast food for nearby office workers or I just ordered the wrong thing. I would like to try this place again for dinner and order something pan fried or the roasted chicken.
Awesome location with a great selection and top notch quality. The Dorado en salsa de mariscos had the best scallops I've eaten along with a beautiful piece of mahi mahi and a beautiful prawn. The La podersoa with chicken got a great review and everyone left happy. Definitely worth a drop in.Food: 5/5
My family went a few days ago for my dad’s birthday and we’re still talking about the food. The seafood was fresh, the ceviche was addicting , the steak was huge, the rice was amazing and the drinks were really good!! The service was also amazing. We asked for recommendations and they didn’t disappoint obviously. We were checked on multiple times by different staff through the dinner. They even were able to sing happy birthday to my dad and had a sparkler! We’ve already recommended this place to others! From what I can remember we had mango lemonade, pisco sour, the purple drink in the photo?, mixto amarillo? ceviche 3 different types of ceviche arroz con pollo, antichucho con pollo, churrasco, the chocolate bandido and mango panna cotta. 100% would go again!!
Overall food was amazingly tasty, specially I got hooked on spicy ceviche, specially being finicky about ceviche. Atmosphere and staff service adds more value to the delicious food. Prices can be in higher side but worth itFood: 5/5
Just out bumpin around with my pals York Town and Sarah Toga, we're over at the Alameda Naval Base looking at things that used to be, and overheard two guys arguing about who puts out the best Rotisserie chicken. Guy number 1 said it's from a Rotisserie chicken truck in SF and guy number 2 said it's from the restaurant Limon in Oakland, then he punched him in the gut. Guy number 1 got up and said I guess you're right. With a recommendation like that, I had to go. The rotisserie chicken was spectacular! 5 stars
Overall food was not satisfactory! Service was decent, but I can’t recommend cuz nothing here tasted good. Cauliflower wasn’t cooked. Chicharron Del Pollo was dry and disgusting. Empanadas were nothing to write home about. Not sure why all the good reviews?Food: 1/5
Really nice place with good atmosphere and great food/drinks. Service was great and food came out pretty quick. Parking can be difficult but not impossible Parking: Metered street parking available but it’s all filled up
The Best Restaurant in Oakland. I’ve been coming back and back again to this place. Anytime I want to impress my Friends, Business associates and my girlfriend I don’t even think just bring them here. Everything on this menu is uniquely delicious with flavors you won’t get anywhere else and it all looks amazing too for the gram photos if your into that! Haha the staff is Fantastic with great service and very open parties and dogs. You can just head in and get a Michelin star quality food experience.
Low value to price. Food quality no to my standard. Carretillero traviseo needs work. Pulpo a la parrilla soft but tastless. Pollo a las brasas not flavor. Lomo saltado tasteless. Coudn't find a taste at all. The lack of flavor on your dishes. the only think i coud taste was the salt on my kids fries.Food: 2/5
Had an excellent business lunch with my business partner - prefect spot for me bc I tend to talk super loud when I’m having a great time and you can here without the place being too noisy. My partner has a nut and gluten allergy and I was so happy to see the waitress took note and had another staff come to the table to discuss with her. I had the Saltado de pollo - soy sauce and ginger sauce over stir fried chicken with tomatoes and red onions over white jasmine rice , and a salad. The lunch was bomb ! Also , had the chicha Moraga sour - semi sweet and citrusy drink with Angostura bitters - came out beautifully - see pic, parking was easy peasy !
