Unfortunately I've had too many experiences with LPD. Not all good. But it was probably my own mouth that got me into trouble...with a couple of exceptions. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! this is not to say that I don't respect how you have dedicated your lives to protect us all who take u for granted. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. I MIGHT NOT LIKE YOU BUT I SINCERELY APPRECIATE U AND ALL THAT U DO. GOD BLESS U ALL WHO SERVE..

The LPD went to great lengths to assist me with a very unusual problem. I was very impressed with their willingness to help.

Will ticket you TO DEATH if they could. Need to report something stolen? May as well kiss it goodbye and don't ever expect a call back, found or not. People say there good on the big stuff. I've seen them come correct by quickly finding a rapist or rightly siding with me when allegations of domestic were hurled... They all bought themselves Harleys... I really don't know what to think they are literally bad and good.

I've been watching them with more intensity since Occupy and the increasing reported violence throughout the country. What I've seen, every time in the news, when the LPD has the chance to let me down and be like all the others, they don't. I won't deny there's likely still issues I've not witnessed and am not subjected to as a white woman, but LPD overall shows the rest of the country how that uniform and badge should be worn. And one can stand with #BLM and still stand with the Blue, and I am in tears with gratitude at the examples I've seen in this city of the department showing what it means to have honor, to truly protect and serve. Thank you. All of you. It does not go unnoticed when you do right. But it goes unvoiced, and that needs to change.
