This is the only old school lifting gym in Pinellas that I know of.  If that's what you're looking for, you'll love it.  The owner is really helpful and friendly and the gym is not over crowded.  It's the only place I've been to recently that allows you to use chalk.  You'll see a lot of people here lifting some serious weight but everyone's pretty friendly and it's a great environment for someone just starting out.
That said, it's not your typical fitness gym.  If you're looking for group fitness classes, you won't find it here.  There are some treadmills but the cardio equipment is minimal.  There are bathrooms you can change in but no real locker room.  Basically, I love the place but my wife wouldn't be in to it at all.

A real gym! Wonderful place to workout! Friendly/welcoming environment. 24 Hour access! Definitely worth checking out!

Old school as old school gets! Great training environment and serious lifters.

This is the kind of gym you dream about. Old school, full of iron, chalk, tires, motivational quotes on the wall, iron, more iron, and even more iron. It has everything an aspiring powerlifter or bodybuilder needs. It's like something out of a Rocky movie, it's amazing. You don't find gyms like this anymore, a real gem.
