Large, mostly undeveloped. Lots of trails. Keep an eye out - the horses use the same trails. Good place for dogs, esp. those who swim. The mill survives, re-purposed as an artist center.

Very well maintained and scenic. Surprisingly large, good for a quick day trip with the family.

I hiked here twice, and it's just okay if you're only hiking here. Sugarloaf Mountain, just a few miles from Little Bennett, is a much better place to hike. Even though the west side of Little Bennett is supposed to be hikers only, there are obviously equestrians who illegally ride their horses, because I regularly spotted horse poop. I'm just happy I never encountered any horses, especially on some of the very narrow trails where a horse can't turn around and in which you would have to move off the path for these inconsiderate riders to pass by. Some of the trails are fire trails that I found rather unpleasant to walk on, and some were overgrown with long grass, which was especially unpleasant in the early morning when there was still dew on them. My pants got very wet walking through there. The camping facilities looked wonderful, though, so if you're here to camp (and hike), you will likely enjoy yourself much more than I did.
