Great comfort breakfast food, great service and reasonable prices. You can't go wrong for a traditional American diner style breakfast here.

Hot Roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy.  Very good.

A nice country cafe in a small storefront in downtown McHenry.  Good food at great prices...for smaller, comfortable portions.  (Fully satsfying without having to pay twice as much and carrying half home in a box.)  Very pleasant employees.  Owner is usually on site. We come here often!  (p.s. This is not part of a British chain restaurant. It is family owned for 50 years.)
