So worth the two miles off the hwy.   great little walking path to stretch legs.  Artisan well to fill up water.   That was fun to pump and yummy to drink

Short walk to the lake and it's absolutely beautiful! 
The campsite was very peaceful. A lot of bugs and small animals. The bathrooms were really gross, like BADDD.

Quiet place to camp, bring a bucket or a gallon jug, water source is a pump at the  beginning of the camping site. And bugs and small mammals everywhere, so keep your food in your car at night.

Not sure about the campground...  looked pretty peaceful going through it, though.   The real gem is the lake! Worth the look any time you can see natural wonder up close. Plus, the PCT is a short walk through the marsh...

Little Cater Lake is amazing.  A must see if your willing to drive out to it.  It's so clear it appears to be shallow but it's 40 feet deep.
