If I could give this place more stars, I would. I had the most amazing stay here when I came for Christmas! I've always stayed at typical hotels like Comfort Suites and thought the best I could get was one of the pricier rooms there, but I got significantly more out of staying at one of Little Main Streets standard rooms here - and for less $$$ too! It was insanely easy to check into our room, no hassle or anything, just a quick phone call to the staff in order to check in. When we got to our suite, we immediately fell in love. It was truly a home away from home, with adorable decorations for the holidays all over the room making it cozy and inviting. The whole place was rustic, with a great scenic view of mountains and hills from the porch out back. All the hallways to this place were lined with snacks, DVD's, & board games for everyone to borrow whenever. The entire place was quiet, all guests and staff pretty much kept to themselves, so it was a very calm and stress free stay. The only "problem" was an issue with my card, and all it took was a 5 minute phone call to figure it out and they solved the problem, no hassle or arguments whatsoever. The kind people who run this place are VERY easy to work with and get things don't quick and simple. Honestly this was the best hotel/suite I have ever stayed at and I will absolutely be coming back here again, I appreciate how easy it was booking this place, I was at ease this entire stay. Thank you so much to all the innkeepers for helping my whole family and I feel at home.

I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in the black door. It is our first time staying in a place like this and my family which consists of 2 small kids, and I loved it!! It's so much better than a hotel. It actually felt like we were at home! The kids were way more comfortable and didn't have a problem going to bed. It feels so cozy and welcoming here. We arrived in banner elk and called here to see if rooms were available. It was so nice to reserve our room and be able to walk right in and get cozy. The mountains just may be my new favorite place to visit and staying here is a must!!

We spent Presidents' Day weekend at this little jewel. I use that word for lack of a better word. We rented the two bedroom "apartment" with a full kitchen. Making reservations and checking in/checking out was unlike anything I experienced before. We never actually meet the owners and for that I was a little disappointed. Would have liked to thank them for such a nice well run establishment that they have. It's like visiting family for the weekend at a vacation spot and your family lets you stay at their home while they leave for the weekend. Oh, and while they are gone you eat all their cereal, drink their coffee and milk and eat all their snacks. All without replacing and thanking them before you leave. Now for the location. If you are  coming here to ski ,ice skate or tubing with your family, I don't think you'll find a better place to stay. Both ski resorts are very close. Plus Grandfather mountain is a very short drive. The town of Banner Elk is just as quant as this place. And the people are wonderful , considering they must see a fair amount of tourist. Still amassed that such a small town can  pack the ski resorts like they do. I do have two complaints. One, our coffee pot was  on the fritz .( not really a complaint just wanted them to know somehow) And two, "Mother Nature" was very stingy with snow during our visit. LOL!  But it did make driving stress less to this Floridian.  How they keep snow on the slopes is amazing.

We come to Banner Elk at least once a year, sometimes twice. We always stay at Little Main Street Inn bc we love it. It is priced great, beautiful and so welcoming. The suites are decorated perfect for a mountain home and so spacious and clean. The innkeepers are friendly and go above and beyond here. We have stayed at a local hotels and places similar but they don't compare.  We will come back again and again to Little Main Street Inn. It is the best around and so fairly priced.  We love it here. ❤

I often search out mom & pop type establishments when looking for accommodations. This place is far and beyond the best that i've stayed with  for the value. Bed & Breakfast comfort where you don't feel you have to "creep" around the establishment. Great rooms with wood floors and cabinetry and the decor appears to be hand-picked by the proprietors.

I came in late and the owners left my key on the table and had the room open for my arrival. Fresh cream and coffee provided and those little details let me know that these folks just aren't selling a room with a bed and shower. Great front porch with padded rocking chairs and flower arrangements. Banner Elk with a touch of Mayberry. Anyone looking for how a mountain-country inn should be run, should spend a night here.
