Story

Dr. Briggs is an interventional psychiatrist who is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Briggs and her staff are pleased to be able to offer TMS Therapy.

TMS or transcranial magnetic stimulation is an FDA approved, non-drug therapy for patients with depression who have not had satisfactory results from antidepressant medications. It is a safe and effective treatment that is performed in our office. TMS Therapy is:

• Non-invasive, meaning that it does not involve surgery or anesthesia and you remain awake throughout the treatment.

• Non-systemic, meaning that it is not taken orally and does not circulate in the blood stream throughout the body.

The typical initial treatment course consists of at least 5 treatments per week over 4-6 weeks.
