Making this my go to stop whilst staying close by for the next couple of days! Beautiful setup, and equally amazing staff! So super friendly and patient with all my questions and indecisiveness! Ended up going for their current special 'Mint Mocha Jolt', and was not disappointed in the slightest! So glad I went for the largest size! Looking forward to my next visit!
We were very excited to try out the shop, as we usually come stay at the Fairfield once a month. Everything we ordered came out in a timely manner and drinks filled the cups, we didn't have an issue with them not being full. We also got several sandwiches which were all fantastic. I liked the broad choices available for breakfast sandwiches. Their jalapeño cheddar bagel was one of the best I'd ever had. Everything was also very reasonably priced for being a small business. I dont believe they had prices listed on the menu for the sandwiches, and the Matcha was fairly unnoticeable and lacked flavor. Other than that the staff were all very kind, helpful, and welcoming. We'll definitely be regulars while we're there. Thank you very much!
Absolutely delighted to share my experience at Local Grind in Los Alamitos! From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. It's clear they've put a lot of thought into creating an environment that's not just about enjoying a great cup of coffee, but also about feeling welcome. Let's talk about the breakfast sandwiches - they're nothing short of amazing. It's often a challenge to find delicious gluten-free options that don't compromise on taste or texture, but Local Grind has managed to do just that. Their inclusive menu ensures that everyone can enjoy a satisfying breakfast, regardless of dietary restrictions. In summary, Local Grind is a gem in Los Alamitos, offering not just great coffee and food, but also a welcoming space to start your day or have a meeting with clients. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free English Muffin to make a breakfast sandwich.
First off, my family and I really like this place and have frequently been going since they opened the Los Al location. Today I went to pick up an online order of 2 small drinks and 2 bagels with cream cheese. It took over 45 minutes. When I arrived there were about 15 people waiting for food or drinks and waiting to order. They only had 2 staff total. The staff here I always awesome. No knock on them. They are just severely understaffed. No fair to the staff who are extremely stressed trying to manage everything with 2 people. They are a bit pricey, but I prefer to spend my money at a local establishment than to spend at huge corporations like Starbucks. They need to get more help or we will not be going here anymore. 45 minutes for a max 10 minute order won’t cut it.
Overall: they gave me 6 oz of coffee for a 12 oz order. Will not be returning and I’d caution others in visiting. Location: corner shop, near the post office. It's at the same plaza as a dance studio and nail salon. Parking in rear. Menu: coffee, tea, food, hot/cold. Saw some bakery goods and bagels. Experience: it looks nice inside, lots of seating for a coffee shop. There's some goods for sale on the side, like mugs and stickers for sale. Unfortunately, overall, I had a bad experience : I ordered the macchiato only comes in 12 oz, and when she asked if I wanted oat milk, I said "whole milk" but they gave me the oat milk anyway. The screen did not read "oat milk" so I assumed it was tax that I was seeing. My fault was that I didn't look at my printed receipt which did say oat milk. It was also kinda hard to hear when the order came out too. When I got my cup... it was half empty. I had a very hard time accepting this was 12 oz but I let it go because I wasn’t sure I don’t order drinks out too often and this was For $5? Idk. Went home to scale it and sure enough, barely 6 oz. Makes sense because the cup was filled halfway. See picture when I brought it out to my car to check. Maybe this was a fluke.. but that is a major discrepancy. It tasted nice but I think it was a bit too light on the coffee flavor. My brother in law got the funky monkey. It was heavy on the peanut butter. It was nice too, but when we got home, he added more coffee because it was ultimately too sweet.
Amazing!!!! Sage was very accommodating for a custom drink that I ordered--and they made the drink perfectly! I also got a bagel with the red pepper cream cheese: highly recommend. Beautiful, bright coffee shop, great seating and lighting, delicious drinks and food. The baristas are kind and friendly too!Food: 5/5
Went here over the weekend. It wasn’t very busy. We got a blended drink and a coffee. Super disappointed. The blended drink was way too sweet and had a gritty texture. The coffee was not filled to the ordered amount, basically half empty. It is also expensive considering they didn’t give us the full order. Not happy with this experience. I won’t be coming back. It felt like they scammed me of my order.
We go to the LB location all the time and I’m so excited there’s a location right by my kids swim class! Mocha jolt for an afternoon pick me up will be a game changer! Woohoo! I love the open and airy vibe at this location! Plenty of seating and parking lot in back.Food: 5/5
My new favorite coffee spot. Get the Mexican Horchata latte if you want something fancier, but they do a great job with everything. Very friendly service. Clean. Great neighborhood gemFood: 5/5
Cool new spot in Los Al. First 3rd wave coffee actually in town, I think. Good service, good vibes, good times. We’ll be regulars here soon enough!Food: 5/5
