There is very little to add about Lodge North. Sadly the "new" owners are just as BAD as the old ones. The ONLY bright spots about the place was they had new maintenance but we have been told he has quit and the other was fired for some reason.(Like they needed to do that) and they were said to be remodeling the property but, I believe it was talk to make us go away. I don't think the manager is a "crack head", she has problems sure, she is tattooed up like a carney and dresses like common street trash but, that doesn't make her a crack head. Alcoholic or a pill head maybe.....Also the "bedbug" issue they have comes from the residents NOT the management. It's ridiculous to blame them for that.... They didn't release bedbugs into your apartments and if you do search Channel 5 about the bedbugs also search Google and find out how you get them. There isn't one case of a landlord releasing bedbugs. on a tenant. They may have dropped the ball in getting rid of them like they do EVERYTHING else but YOU the RESIDENTS brought them.

ive lived here for almost 3 years now and i hate it. i dont feel safe, we had bed bugs and are VERY clean people. we pay alot more $ then our neighbors for some reason. the pool isnt even open yet! we cant get any maintenance done around here. so your asking why dont you move.....well its hard to get out of a lease and i dont know how to and also its hard to save up money for a new place when your paying alot of money to live in this dump!

The staff works hard but as anyone can realize when you work for a corporation there is only so much you can do. On site staff has compassion but their hands are tied on some things.

Let me just start by saying, when they told me I had been accepted to move into the apts, I was of course excited. However I knew something was up when they told me I wasnt aloud to see the apts until my move in date. When I did finally see the apartment, I realized I was paying almost double what it was worth, when you factor in size, luxury, and appliances. Do you remember those old lime green appliances they used back in the day? I dont, I wasnt alive. But I do know that they are FAR out of date, constantly leaking and causing problems. the kitchen place was so time, I had to almost lift up the over door to get it open, or it would get stuck on the dish washer. When you live in apartments, you kind of expect bugs and roaches. I woke up the day after my move in, with fleas in my bed. No, I did not have a pet. I always made a point to keep my place clean, out of pride and to keep the bugs away. However, it did not work. Almost twice a week I would find roaches over 3 inches long, in random places throughout the apt, not just the kitchen. Gnats where everywhere too. One Monday, I came home from a weekend away with family, to find the floor soaked. It appeared the water heater had been leaking, I quickly went to the main office to let them know, and begged them to fix it. Thursday. They finally fixed the water heated. However in the 3 days they left it to soak, bumps in the floor began to rise from the water. 4 days later, they came back to fix the bumps. Well, 2 out of the 3. They took care of the ones in the kitchen/hallway (which were so tall, I couldnt open my door). However, not only did they not properly replace the flooring so no one would trip and get hurt, they left the 3rd bump. As if all of this wasnt enough, I came home from work once night (about 11pm) and sat in my living room. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I got up to walk in the bedroom, and saw lights flashing through my window. I look outside to find 5 fire trucks in front of my building. I open up my door to see the hallway filled with smoke and Firefighters. I called my friends who lived on the floor above me, and we ran outside holding our breathe. Turns out, there had been a fire on the floor below myself in the laundry room. A lady pulled the fire alarm. She said 'I'm dont think it was even working right. It made one constant sound, I didn't think anyone could hear it because it was so quiet.' No one could, almost no one in the building heard the alarm. In fact, I believe over 50% of the residents slept through the whole thing. This, is what you will be paying over $550 dollars a month for, assuming you are only getting a one bedroom. Not to mention the lack of dogs on leashes. I can say two good things about the apartments:the police are always driving through, and the neighbors and friendly and caring.
