"The Loft on Main is a regional arts destination providing a venue for local artists to create, promote, and sell original art and to foster art education through lessons and programs.First developed through cooperation with the community and the Morrison Area Development Corporation, the Loft is run on an entire volunteer basis, which enabled it to win a Governor’s Hometown Award in 2018, its first year of existence.The Governor’s Hometown Awards, first presented in 1983, are given annually to projects sponsored by local government but brought to fruition by strong volunteer support. The projects are judged on volunteerism, and impact in the community and the state."
