Let me start by saying the aesthetic here is so cute! We didn’t have to wait too long for a table, and you don’t technically have a designated server but use a QR code and online ordering platform to place your order. The food was tasty, we got the lumpia, English muffin with the smoked salmon spread, and the Basic Bi*ch sandwich. However, the portions are very small and very expensive. We also ordered two coffee drinks, which were tasty but came out after all of our food. Loved the vibe, but $50 for a tiny brunch just doesn’t seem worth it.
So this is probably the cutest place I've ever been to in Pittsburgh. The food was good and the drip coffee was good. However I ordered a cappuccino that was VERY burnt and my bagel was also very burnt. It's a little too pricey to be giving people burnt coffee and food. If I'm paying $40 for some bagels and a fancy lil coffee I do expect a little better. The service was fine. They were all very friendly and we didn't wait terribly long for service or food.
This place is definitely pricey but the food and the overall vibe of the place is great. It’s a very comfortable atmosphere, even on a Sunday morning when we went in. The checkout system is one that I wish more places would adopt in that you order and pay on your phone. The waffles are delicious with the ube butter and syrup. I decided to splurge and add the fried chicken as well. The chicken was cooked perfectly still juicy on the inside, but had a nicely deep fried exterior. If you’ve got a couple extra dollars to spend this is a great place to try!
Came here with our friend who knows the owners. I loved Lola's. The interior is super cute and well designed. You order on your phone which is an easy added bonus. We all loved the food and how unique everything was!!! I got ube latte and ube waffles it was awesome. Both are delicious the latte was amazing. Not too sweet. The waffles with the purple ube butter were SO yummy. I added fried chicken and it was a nice touch. My boyfriend got the Sir sesame specialty sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. I love that they have a bunch of in house homemade pastries to choose from too. I got a chocolate donut and it was amazing. Next time I really want to try the basic b**** Sammy. Can't wait to return Definitely come here asap. Best breakfast in town!
Lola's is an eclectic spot for breakfast and brunch with a Filipino inspired menu. They have short hours, limited seating and often run out of their most popular dishes. The atmosphere is shabby-eccentric. Staff were friendly enough but rushed us since we went in an hour before close. We tried the Ube Iced Latte which was delicious. The food was okay. We really enjoyed the lumpia and breakfast eggrolls. The hashbrowns and a fig toast were just okay. I'd like to give Lola's another try but if I never made it back, I'd be okay with that too. Kid-friendliness: Not too kid friendly. They wouldn't make a scrambled egg for my six year old.
We stopped by Lola's for the first time for a Sunday brunch. The wait was quoted at 20 minutes, to be expected on a Sunday during peak brunch - but we got sat within 5 minutes of waiting. Excellent start to a great meal. We got the ube latte and the pandan-coconut latte, both of which are so interesting and delicious. Don't skip on a fun beverage when you stop in! Try something out of your comfort zone, you'll love it. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast sandwich, and was initially disappointed that all of the bagels sold out - but the english muffin was actually an even better pairing with his sandwich toppings, so it worked out perfectly! The eggs are scrambled in the French style - buttery, fluffy, delicious. For me, that's a very nice surprise. The chive spread on the side is excellent for dipping your hashbrown in. I ordered the avocado toast with goat cheese and bacon-date spread. I wasn't sure what to expect, so I added a fried egg, too. It was fantastic! Very interesting flavor combination and so filling for the price. We decided to split the ube roll, too - but we had to take it to go because we were so full. I just finished eating it while writing this review, and I can't wait to go back for another one... : I recommend stopping in with a friend or more!, ordering a bunch of things, and splitting them all - because EVERYTHING was so good. I don't really care about aesthetics when picking a place to eat, but Lola's is a well-designed space if that's your thing! From the glasses, to the paint, to the tile on the bar, I really liked the vibe. Stop by Lola's, it's worth it! Dietary restrictions: When ordering, there are vegan and vegetarian options, as well as options to modify each dish and notify the kitchen of any allergies or restrictions
Lola's is a delicious gem that's well worth the wait. The Taylor Gang, Salmon spread and donuts are top notch and service is first class!Food: 5/5
Very cozy, beautiful place. The staff are very friendly. They also do donuts that sell out quickly for good reason. The food was good, but a little bit expensive.Food: 4/5
Really good bagels; service was quick. I appreciate them trying new ideas like their "espresso cream cheese" bagel. The atmosphere is 10/10, extremely cozy and cottage core.
Congratulations to the great Zoey and Max! Amazing place, incredible food, and just a joyful atmosphere! Everyone needs to order the breakfast egg rolls, Bravo!! Now open another Lola’s in North Carolina, please!Food: 5/5
