The Lone Jack Fire Protection District protects 54 square miles and nearly 5,000 residents in the southeast portion of Jackson County, MO. We serve the community of Lone Jack, MO as well as a portion of the surrounding unincorporated area.

Story

Welcome to the official page of the Lone Jack Fire Protection District. This page was created for the citizens we protect, so that they may stay up to date on the activities and events within the LJFPD. We protect 54 square miles and nearly 5,000 residents in both the community of Lone Jack, MO and portions of the surrounding unincorporated areas in southeast Jackson County, MO (45 minutes southeast of Kansas City, MO). LJFPD provides fire protection and emergency medical care to our constituents with a crew of 4 personnel at all times. We also issue burn permits for residents of our fire district. The fire district is governed by a fire board consisting of 3 directors (Directors Schrader, Leath, and Cleveland) and employs 1 Fire Chief (Chief Dave Kelsey), 5 Lieutenants, 18 Firefighter/Paramedics, and 13 Firefighter/EMT's. Apparatus includes 1 pumper/engine, 2 ALS ambulances, 1 squad, 1 tanker/pumper, 2 brush trucks, and a command vehicle. Mission

We are dedicated to the preservation of life and property in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Training and knowledge of fire apparatus, firefighting applications, equipment, chain of command and Department policy help to assure that we provide professional service to the community and a safe return of our personnel to their families.
