Came here to camp (tent) after a quick drive from Buffalo, NY (less than an hour away). The beach is amazing, and even though it was a hot day in August, it was quiet and very private. I definitely encourage the "premium" spots, which have a little more privacy and were 100% tent occupied, right on the water!

----- Update from original : we've since been contacted by the management with an apology and a complimentary night's camping as a gesture of goodwill. We also had an explanation that there was a misunderstanding and that the wedding party were supposed o have used a different area away from the pitches Appreciated the apology and gesture Have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars on balance. Some customer service training for the staff would help. The site itself is well kept and the beach next to it is beautiful -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Really poor experience with this site. Won't ever be booking this place again. We booked the day ahead of our visit but what they neglected to mention at the time of our booking is that they were having a WEDDING PARTY right opposite our pitch (which was supposedly in the "premium" area) The music was blasting throughout the day from midday to about 1am!! The party only seemed to stop because there were a number of complaints from other guests (campsite staff nowhere to be seen) When we complained the following morning (having had a bad night's sleep) we were met with a shrug and told simply "one of the seasonal campers wanted to have a party" Pretty appalled by their response to a complaint. Made it even more galling that their campsite "regulations" prohibit "noisy' behaviour and ask for "consideration" for other guests. If you want to run a campsite that is also and wedding venue that's up to you, but it would have been a simple courtesy to let guests know before they book so they can decide if that's for them.

The beach is great. The camping is horrible because the seasonal are running wires, hoses and even encroaching on the campsite you rented by using your picnic table as a tie point for their many tarps and tents. We pulled into site 88 and we faced with this plus a full site length of a clothesline with underwear and undershirts. 3 underwear had actually blown off their clothesline onto the middle of our site. The two shirtless males swigging back beers on the picnic table next to us just stared as my wife kicked on of the underwear into the air towards their lot (77). We had camped here two years before and enjoyed it. Today it is a slum campsite taken over by seasonals in campers falling apart, kitchen tents dumping their wash water onto your site and yelling across your site to speak with other seasonals. In a full state if depression we returned to the office and asked for a refund, did not get it, so we left and kissed our two night fee goodbye. I will be initiating a chargeback with master card. Do not even consider camping here unless you are prepared to pickup your neighbours underwear every day and return it to them.

I was extremely disappointed. The beach was unkept, with tall grass making it very difficult to access. The day picnic area was almost non existent with most of the area given over to camping. What a shame, it used to be the place to go for a lovely day at the beach. I certainly will not go back. This is definitely a black spot on our provincial parks.

We want to stay for a weekend with family and had two sites side by side. Arrived there and there was another campers hose across one of our sites. The staff just shrugged and said "yea". The campers behind us parked their vehicle on our site. (the issue we found was there is no dividers to show where a site starts and stops). Two sites over next to the inlaws was "tent city". One pop up three dining tents sleeping tent outdoor sink that was letting the water just run all over both or our sites. And what I would have to say was the largest blue tarp tied to the trees and held up with 30 foot poles. Playing loud music all day. We couldn't talk to each other during dinner because of "def leopard". I went to see what we could do in the front office. I asked the staff at the front desk what we can do, and her words were ( It doesn't matter to me, what do you want me to do, are they on your site? ) Clearly, she didn't care. I left in anger. As I returned to my site the camper with her hose across my site returned and I mentioned to her where her hose connection was, so she could properly place it. She moved her hose and then decided to open her grey water all over the ground, running into her site. We set up and tried to make the best of it, how ever with the swearing and loud music, not to mention they had two dogs that never stopped barking, it wasn't enjoyable. Well we walked around and we discovered a lot. Most sites are seasonal, and all water front sites. One staff told us "seasonal campers make the park more money". That's when we realized we didn't matter. We were walking with our children and dogs and many seasonal campers di not tue their dogs, even though it's the rule. One very large dog came running towards us and well thankfully I was able to stop the unleashed dog. 9 am each morning, on goes the radio in tent city. Day 2 we went to the beach and it was not kept the way I was hoping. The staff drove their 4 wheeler up and down picking up some trash, so that was good. As we walked back to the site we met a nice staffer setting up to do crafts. We didn't know there was going to be a craft time but we got our children in and did the craft. We didn't see a post of it any where, another thing for the seasonal. That night there was a band playing mesic, and it went way too much into the night. We thought there was an 11pm quiet time . Again for seasonal. We were excited about camping only 30 mins from home and it was my inlaws first trip out with their new trailer. We tried to reassure them that most campgrounds are not like this. We had just returned from a 14 day trip camping out east and did not have one horrible night like the two we just did at Long Beach. The NPC Authority should be ashamed of this park. If you like other people loud music, loose dogs and dirty sites then this is the place for you. If you prefer provincial parks, private parks or pretty much any family oriented park than this is not for you.
