The children had a wonderful time. There were plenty of interactive displays/centers/ rooms. We all enjoyed the music areas. We tried building the train tracks and other models with the wood blocks. The children loved the "yellow school bus play area", sand and bubbles. We were there for hours and there was not a dull moment. The only down was that the lunchroom was FREEZING! All of the staff was helpful and interacted well with the children. I would definitely recommend the Long Island Children's Museum to parents. They even have a sensory room for children that may need it.

Huge! If your kid can walk confidently they will have a great time. Parking lot is a good size. Price is a bit expensive. Make sure your spending a few hours here. 2 adults and 1 kid was $39. Add in lunch somewhere and travel and it's not a cheap day

We had a birthday party for my 4yo nephew here. It was so much fun even for the adults! The kids got to tear around a mini city, and do activities, and the staff were amazing at shuffling them from one activity to another. No tantrums. After the party we got to stay and visit the rest of the museum that was a blast! There are themed rooms like bugs, music, color, etc. Very interactive.

Love that this place has an outdoor water/garden area to use on nice days. It can get very crowded here though. The tot spot frequently has older kids in it (its supposed to only be under 4). It becomes a little dangerous with a one year old trying to walk and other kids’ older siblings running around in there; I have had to leave because of that reason.

This museum is so interactive! Going at a quiet time is well worth it. Great gift shop!
