Long John Silver's
"Real seafood should be sourced from real sea-places, like, you know, oceans. So that's exactly where we source ours from. We're no one trick sea pony. Sure, we've got the classic fried fish and chips you love, but now we've got delicious new grilled seafood options to add to our menu of delica-seas."

This is the only LJS in Waco and so far on my own visits is been great. Staff is always cleaning and the food is always on point. One or two times that just missing one or two items but nothing that cant be fix. Wheelchair accessibility: The place has a ramp access to wheelchair.
I love long John silvers, but after the last few times I have visited the long John Silvers‘s in Waco, Texas. I don’t think I’ll be going back. They do not pay attention to you when you’re trying to order. They were too busy talking about somebody’s card getting declined on the speaker so they messed up my order. I did not get my coleslaw. One of the main reasons I go there got to the window. They still wasn’t paying attention. They were too busy talking about what they were doing for the weekend she was closing the window on me. I had to ask her if I could get some tartar sauce and vinegar , the food was undercooked. Everything was soggy and greasy waste of money!
It's was good, portions have gotten smaller, but on the other hand I don't eat at lot in one sitting. But the only real compliant I had was the emoyees being so boisterous about another customer that's been obviously making them mad. felt like if they needed to talk about a customer, it should have been privately... not where everyone could clearly hear. Wheelchair accessibility: they had a ramp, that truly always a help.
I recently visited the Long John Silver's and was thoroughly disappointed with the complete lack of care and attention from the staff. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that nobody was invested in providing a good experience for customers. The service was apathetic, with employees seemingly going through the motions without any enthusiasm or concern for customer satisfaction. The food, while edible, was not prepared with any noticeable care or attention to detail. What struck me most was the utter lack of effort from anyone in the restaurant to make customers feel welcome or valued. It was as if they were just going through the motions, without any pride or ownership in their work. Unfortunately, this experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I won't be returning to this location anytime soon. Long John Silver's, take note: a little care and attention can go a long way in making customers feel valued and appreciated.
Worked for Long John Silver's when I was in high school so it's still an occasional guilty pleasure. Unfortunately where I live there aren't any good ones close to me, the only one is a KFC/LJS combo that's awful. So I was glad there was one near me when I was in Waco for work. This one has been remodeled inside so it's really nice. The service was decent enough but the best thing was all the food was hot and freshly made. I was like I remembered it from when I worked there in the late 70s.
The food was really good. And the young lady that took my order was very pleasant and friendly. There was a long line of cars in the drive through but the wait was short.Food: 5/5
Got take out for dinner. A little pricey, but it tasted good. Fish portions are smaller than they used to be. Fries and coleslaw were good. Glad they use cardboard containers so food doesn't get soggy before I get home.Food: 5/5
I have been there multiple times. The food was what I expected from LJS. They blocked off part of the restaurant by putting the trash container in the doorway to the side dining area. Each time I vist either the soda machine is not fully functional out of flavors or ice or the condiment pumps are empty. The building needs updating and a good deep cleaning. I know this is hard to do with a fast food resaurant that fries everything. I hope it improves because it is the only LJS in town.
As for the fish, Long John's stands above most places. The formula hasn't changed in a long time and it's that unique taste that keeps bringing me back. Service is a little sluggish but in the end the food still wins out.Food: 5/5
I've always loved LJS. I drove 17 minutes out of my way while traveling from Denton to Austin and back to Dallas to eat here. Parked the truck and trailer in the back of the parking lot and walked to the front. The doors are locked at 7:59 but I can see people inside paying for their order and the drive thru is clearly open. I really didn't want to eat greasy food in the truck, and I've been in the truck for hours already. I really wanted to sit at a table and eat but no that's not happening. So I go back to the truck and head to the drive-thru. I order and wait to get to the window. This took 17 minutes to fulfill orders for 3 cars. Not exactly banging the drive thru and certainly don't have to worry about people inside ordering. Finally get to the window and pay for my food. I explained that I was quite disappointed about driving 17 minutes out of my way to come there and I can't actually sit down and eat. The girl says there is only three people inside and she can't go back and forth so she locked the doors. Really? Most LJS I've been in only have three people working and they manage to keep the doors open until closing time. Thank you for giving me a good reason not to drive out of my way next time.
