This cavern is gorgeous - worth taking your time to look around -  you will love the rich history, the hieroglyphics and awesome power of water and stone. For instance, the cave was used by Confederate troops who made gunpowder from bat guano, some of whom died in the process. The cave was formed by fast moving water a few million years ago and so has very few formations.
Check it out next time you are driving through Texas and in the area.

Great caverns....worth the drive.... probably great stories too. Could not hear them because our group was so large. Plus,  we have to swim through other groups to leave, interrupting their tour. Of course the other groups were thrilled with that. Nice people at desk, prices reasonable, tour guide mentioned tips at least 4 times.

Oh Oh,,,,don't get me started on this. Beautiful place with excellent guide. 
If you are in the hood, you must go take this tour.
Not so wide collection but food is there so is vending machine.
Nice staff will help you out with not just about Caverns but also about other surrounding locations if you need information.

The tour was great and well worth the money. It lasts an hour and a half. There are also cute little trails you can walk on your own for free.

incredible and rare underground formations! tour was very entertaining and informative. keep in mind you can bring nothing but water to the caves
