This place is so peaceful, lush, and beautiful. My 5 year old son loves to explore and visit the tree houses. I love seeing and smelling the flowers and the long walks through so many gorgeous landscapes. The beer garden and cafe has good food. The new fountains are really worth visiting if you haven't been for a while.

Massive, well managed gardens worth spending one to three hours walking around. I'd recommend picking two or three areas that sound most enticing to look at closely, because there is so much to see that you almost can't do it all in one visit. Biggest concerns: Much of the park is exposed , so it can be very hot walking around in the summer. This is a well known and much loved place to go all summer long, so if you are going mid-day on a nice weekend, expect there to be large crowds of people there with you.

Longwood is an amazing place to see, each season brings something different, it's a feast for the eyes! The entire place is beautiful, everything is spotlessly clean and the gardens are well cared for. The staff go out of their way to make your visit wonderful. I took the fountain tour (Jim was our tour guide, he was wonderful, friendly, full of great information and engaging) on a sunny day and was worried about being too hot to finish the tour. To my surprise and delight they provided sun shade umbrellas for everyone who needed them, it made the tour quite enjoyable! And I noticed that a staff member followed the group carrying extra umbrellas in case someone changed their mind and wanted one after all... Very thoughtful and considerate. The only thing that wasn't great was the food in the cafeteria, it's just so so. Although the pastries we're quite tasty! But the scenery is the star of the show, it's wonderful!

You could spend a whole day here and only see half of what there is to offer. There's ponds and lakes, a newly-refurbished main fountain garden, indoor conservatory gardens, one of the largest pipe organs in the world, and outdoor water lily displays in warmer months. You can tour Pierre DuPont's home, and there's a cafeteria and a restaurant that offer wine and beer. Whether it's summer or winter it's worth a trip. I've gone in January and just toured the indoor gardens which were full of life.

Longwood Gardens is beautiful no matter the time of year. There is always fantastic displays of beautiful flowers to fit each season. The grounds are magnificent and beautifully maintained. So happy that the main fountain has reopened. The fountain show, especially the illuminated show, is spectacular. a must see!
