Have been wanting to stop by for a while and decided to on a Saturday morning. I’ll be coming more often. The best latte I’ve had hands down. Not bitter at all. Smooth. Fairly priced for what you get. Very yummy Ham and Gruyère croissant. Pleasant staff that are all into coffee. Nice atmosphere and beautifully and minimally decorated. Great branding Checks all the boxes!
Such an elegantly designed coffee shop! The coffee is by farrrrrr the best in LA and equal to their sister shop, kumquat; two of my fav in LA! Highly recommend, but hope it doesn’t get too busy and crowded.
Lovely cold brew, clarity of flavors yet rich and bold. The two girls working there were also so friendly, which I always appreciate : Great that this opened up so close to my home!
Delicious artisanal coffee, carefully made and depth of flavor. Pretty great vibes
Great jump into roasting from the team at Kumquat Coffee. They continue to impress with their inventive coffee creations - the Mascarpone mentioned in other reviews is definitely worth trying on your first visit. The Geisha cold brew is another fantastic dive into coffee for purists. Pricing can generally use a bit of work to turn this into a daily haunt as the trend of pushing to $5-7/cup pre-tip is a bit much but understandable for truly specialty drinks. I'll keep visiting since I'll pay truly ridiculous amounts for world class coffee.
Great espresso pulls! Would recommend to others. Jeezy - Sno Fall Oct 22!
A fantastic, well-made cappuccino and americano, shared between myself and my roommate. Loquat serves great coffee, with always excellent sourced beans and an eye to crisp, bright roasts with—I cannot believe I’m saying this—wonderful mouthfeel. My roommate reported the same for his first visit to Loquat; this was my first experience, and it was lovely. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly appreciate what they serve. There was a delicacy and care evident in their work; and the professionalism showed in the quality of the coffee. There are many good baristas in Los Angeles, but Loquat has some of the best. Apart from that, they’re just damn sweet people! The space is small and industrial inside, but big windows and ample street patio seating keep its neighborhood feel intact. Seating was comfy enough for me, to read for an hour and sip my coffee. I highly recommend going to visit them.
Impeccable local Korean shop with fantastic beans, amazing core drinks like pour-over & cold brew, and truly special speciality drinks. One of the best shops in LA.Food: 5/5
I had been wanting to come here for a few months after Brian Quan from Fellow said they were one of the best spots in LA. After taking a look at their equipment, it’s clear they take coffee roasting and brewing very seriously, including the creative specialty drinks the Mascarpone foam is handmade on a kitchen Aid stand mixer on their bar. I came in right at close and quickly ordered a Samboni Gesha espresso and a cortaro and walked out with ~$50 worth of beans. I will have to come back to try that mascarpone drink!
Very good coffee, friendly baristas all around that care about the quality of the drinks they serve. Looking forward to going again.
