I am not familiar with Jamaican food, but I work in the area, and heard that this was a great place. I went for lunch on a week day with a friend, and we shared the chicken curry w/ rice (portions are big enough to share between two) and a side of fried plantains. Both were yummy! Flavors were rich, but the food was also pretty heavy. Definitely not diet food. Also, the staff is really nice. When the waiter found out that this was our first time eating Jamaican food, he brought us a complimentary beef patty. While the pastry was flaky and buttery, and the meat was moist and flavorful, there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of pastry and not so much meat. Even though I am not a Jamaican food expert, the food was definitely good, and I'll definitely be going back for more.

Lorenz is a nice restaurant to take friends from out of Dorchester to. It is a great place to catch up with someone you have not seen in awhile. The food is proper. The dishes are not too spicy which is sometimes a turn off because they are ment to be spicy but overall good. The atmosphere is GREAT!

An authentic Jamaican restaurant with incredible food. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and the staff is very friendly. I even met the owner! He was charimatic and genuine. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is awesome and tastes like what I'm missing from my Caribbean fam! Even my picky 19mth old ate it without question!!!
