This is one of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in Los Angeles. When it was built it was a landmark that was meant to show that Los Angeles was now a force to be reckoned with. There were three days of celebrations for its opening. Take the time and go up to the top of the city hall building and go to the observation deck. A multitude of movies and TV shows have been filmed there. You'll be able to see this the that span from the ocean to the mountains.

55,000 live on the streets??? Nice legacy. Up 75% in 6 years? Can’t blame Trump for that!

You know, the city loves to complain that us mentally ill people sit around and do nothing but when I go to work for a day, they don't want me back to work. Gordon in Carson discriminates, along with the rest of the bigoted city. If u don't want to offer me a job keep your fat mouth shut about me not having a job.

The observation deck has great views of the city. Be prepared to pass through security and metal detectors. You'll need to swap elevators once and still climb another set of stairs. Everyone was friendly and the view was fantastic. We were able to take pictures of the Griffith Observatory and later that day took pictures of the City Hall from the Observatory. The only downside was the parking deck is underground a block away. To get from the deck to the building you pass through a park with an assortment of homeless sleeping on the benches and in the bushes.

City Hall is Vibrant! And that starts "at-the-top" with our Mayor. Stately and warm...these Halls resonate with world power and strength. Yet, there was time for Lynell Washington (Planning Director, Office of Marqueece Harris-Dawson) to spare the embarrassment of a selfie and answer some housing questions. That's what I call...WARM! Big "Thank You!" Job well done folks!!! Come visit...see what beautiful treasures lie inside "your" City Hall...take a tour. Bring the kids during Holiday break. It's FREE!
