Smaller park in Virginia Country Club area of Long Beach (Very Tony area). Is on the side of a hill so the walk is more challenging than most parks here in Long Beach. Lots of large picnics, lots of outdoor weddings and friendly people. Dog friendly. 
Hosts weekly LB Municipal Band concerts in July early evenings on Wednesday.

Decent park for the kids. Playground equipment is better suited for those under seven but the park is spacious. Kids can run around, climb tree and explore. Unfortunately it is hilly so playing traditional ball sports is a challenge. Bathroom are ok but are out of sight of the playground so I recommend accompanying children to the restroom.

My second visit to this park and it's n Bixby Knols/Long Beach area nd it is a nice neighborhood, I would fa sure have an event here, no charge for the use of the facility, it has clean bathrooms nd plenty of security.
