My husband & I (+6 kids) absolutely LOVE Lou Malnati's! We live in Southern Illinois, but we make a point of getting Lou Malnati's pizza every time we drive up to visit my family. I told our kids for a long time, "You haven't had real Chicago style pizza until you've had Lou Malnati's!" It only took 1 bite & they agreed - it's the BEST PIZZA EVER!

My husband and I have loved Lou Malnati's for years now but this Elgin location is an embarrassment to their name. The two last times we have ordered carry out for a medium deep dish pizza and both times when we've gotten them home the crust in the middle has not been cooked and has been gummy, and the cheese is not melted as well. Both times we have called and spoken to the manager and he's asked us if we want to bring it back. The last time my husband asked him how they can start ensuring this doesn't happen again and the manager's suggestion was that we open the box at Lou Malnati's before leaving. His suggestion wasn't to check the ovens or talk to/let go of the cook. It is not on the customer to ensure the food your giving is properly cooked. I'd give this place only one star except that I like Lou Malnati's as a whole. I only hope the owners of this franchise can step in and fix this problem before this location drags their name down too much.

If you love Deep dish, Lou Malnati's is the best in Chicago. This is a pick up/carry out only location. No dine in.
