A tradition since 1947, we serve breakfast all day, operate a full service bakery, and have weekly specials. We are proud to be a certified green restaurant offering full service catering, care packages to Dartmouth students, and delicious farm to table foods.

Okay, it might not be five star in the sense of fine dining, but I sure wish I lived up the street and could drop in for breakfast a few times a week. Lou’s is a throwback to the days when food was good and simple and priced for the everyday diner. The ambiance is out of the 40’s while being fresh and bright.

Lou's is to love: the food, the people watching, the character, and did I mention the food? The strawberry jam is out of this world good. The omelets are fantastic. It goes on and on. And I didn't even mention the mile-high pies. My wife and I look forward to every trip to the Hanover region if only for Lou's.

Great service, great food. Be there before 9 on the weekends because it gets packed. The little green is an awesome fair.

Lou's is famous in Hanover for opening (and closing) early, but it is worth being there bright and early for their amazing breakfast! They have really hearty serving sizes, and everything on the menu is tasty. Their pastries are second to none, and if you don't come early for food, there will almost definitely be a wait. That said, their bakery is open until 5/6 and fall is a great time to stop in for their apple cider donuts. This is probably one of the go-to spots in town for birthday cakes, and they don't disappoint. There is table seating and bar seating if you just want a coffee and some breakfast to go.

The food was good as breakfasts go but be sure you check out the menu prices carefully. I didn't want a full breakfast so I ordered 1 pancake and a side of 2 scrambled eggs. The eggs were $5.95 and ONE pancake was $7.45! Yes, you heard me correctly, 1 single pancake by itself was $7.45. Seriously!?!?!
