The worst treasurer office you can deal with. They don’t and they won’t listen to you. All what they care about is money. We miss Fairfax county, but election time is near. I will vote against the treasurer.

I've been using this office for years and have always had a positive experience. I do wish it had weekend hours.

This office proves civil servants have a bad attitude. I went in to pay my taxes today. Due to a glitch it couldn't be posted and I was told one of 2 ppl would call me and tell me what is happening. Do you think my phone rang? Nope! I also see the number here doesn't match the one on the tax bills.

They do not answer their phones. Cannot reach them after numerous tries. But then again what should I expect. Probably at lunch.

I am from another state and recently moved to Loudoun County. Treasury appraisal office is more of "Monkey Circus". This is how the conversation went. Here is jist of the long argument that went between me and desk clerk. ME: I am here to get the appraised value corrected. OFF: Sorry we dont do it like this. ME: What do you mean? OFF: You need to report your mileage in January and based on that we evaluate your vehicle. ME: But I just moved here here is my current registration that shows the actual mileage, and my car is standing out side you can verify the mileage. Here is Safety inspection report, and emissions report that clearly shows the mileage. OFF: Your registration is not acctual mileage, further more We don't evaluate vehicles by going to the vehicle, we just use NADA. ME: OK!! so please show me the value of my car based on the actual mileage. OFF: Sorry cannot do that since you did not provide us your vehicle mileage in January. ME: How about safety inspection and emissions report. OFF: Let me see. she pulls up "DEQ" where my mileage is reported accurately. OFF: So your vehicle has 200K Miles on it as reported by DEQ. ME: Great!! can you use that value and evaluate my car. OFF: No! if you want to get mileage discount you need to fill up this appeal form and provide documents as evidence that you vehicle has hi mileage. ME: But you just pulled actual mileage from "DEQ" cant you use that? OFF: No. Because you did not provide us the mileage. ME: I never got the letter all i received was this TAX form. OFF: Sorry cant help you. Its your duty to provide us the mileage in January. Just utter waist of time. No common sense, they deny any thing that you bring forth. Very disappointed. I have to qualms in paying TAXES as long as it makes sense. Not sure who runs this office but they clearly lack management skills.
