I had a really good experience at this shop. The owner laid out everything that was wrong with my car and explained what he was going to do and how much it will cost.  I thought it was a little steep so I shopped around first and found that he was actually giving me a good deal. What I liked most was that he was extremely patient with me and answered all my questions even the asinine ones. Best of all I haven't had a single problem with my car since he worked on it 5 months ago but if something comes up I won't hesitate to go to Louie's Auto

Regarding the other review, you can easily look up online that there aren't any citations against him and I don't think he is trying to fool anyone with the business name, his sign illustrates that Louie's, Crowne Transmission and Carbtech are now owned by the same person

But hey you can't make everyone happy and some people think anything that isn't free is a rip off. At least that is just my opinion

We were on a trip this weekend when our car began to have trouble and then just died.  We asked a passer by if they could reccommend anyone in the area and they gave me Louie's Auto Repair's number.  It was a Friday night and I was hoping that there would be an answer.  Thankfully there was, Ramon answered and said we could tow into his shop and he would come in on Saturday in the morning to help us.  It came to my attention that he does not work on Saturdays and yet he came in on a Holiday weekend so he could help us.

Needless to say I expected to pay a lot of money because of his generous heart on a Saturday and us being out of towners and all, however we felt fairly treated, well more than that!  It was an awesome experience.  And if I ever am in the neighborhood of Orange County again, I will be sure to stop in to say Hi as he and his workers are very helpful and friendly!

This guy has a reputation in the area for being a greedy thief (had 3 people warn me about him unfortunately after it was too late). Louie's Auto was recently visited by the Bureau of Automotive Repair and written up for multiple violations and are also being sued. They've relocated frequently and also go under the name "Crowne Transmissions". Don't be fooled, they are not Crowne. They just bought out the name after the owner died and now take all their referrals. This guy is a thief and once he gets your car he will rob you blind. They low ball the estimate to get your car on the lift and then they start taking things apart and the bill just sky rockets. They also force you to pay in cash and will bring out many hidden charges you never heard of. Be forewarned...documentation is non-existent at this place for a reason. You will regret ever walking into this place.
