My mother did a "prepaid" funeral for my sister, paying almost $10,000! When my sister died my mother opted to forego some of the services she had already paid for, as circumstances had changed and those services were no longer needed. At the meeting with Lowes my mother was informed that in addition to the almost $10,000 already paid, and despite her decision to forego some of the services she had paid for, that she still owed $400.00 above the $10,000 she "prepaid" that was to cover the entire cost. Again, she decided to NOT access some of the services she had already PAID for, and was told she needed to pay more.
There are not enough good words to express my gratitude to Lowe Funeral Home and the staff. I lost my beautiful precious mom suddenly and unexpectedly, I had no burial plan but Kelly assured me that during a difficult time when everything was cloudy that she was making the plans materialize. She sent a driver nearly 7 hours round trip to pick up my moms body and the entire experience was seamless and impeccable. These people are ‘a gift from God’. The grave diggers did and exceptional job as well, we could not have accomplished any of this without Lowe staff coordinating and their care to ease our worries during a time when I couldn’t think straight. I can’t thank them enough May God Bless each and everyone’s hand that is associated with Lowe Funeral home.
What a terrific experience during a very difficult time for my family. Funeral Director Kelly H was amazing from planning, during the service and the follow-through. She is now an official member of the family. Thank you for your patience ,understanding guidance and terrific service with us.

I recently lost my Mother and worked primarily with Eric at Lowe Funeral Home to execute her wishes and arrange her funeral. The level of professionalism throughout the entire process was extraordinary. Mom also had a limited budget to work with and Lowe Funeral Home was able to accomodate that and provide us with a beautiful room for her service. Every detail we could think of was covered and Mom looked beautiful too. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the entire process at Lowe Funeral Home. They made a very difficult experience for us a lot easier for all.
Lowe Funeral Home handled the funeral activities for both of my elderly parents over the past three years. They were extremely professional and efficient and treated my family, visitors and my deceased parents with dignity and respect. Both parents had been in the military, so employee Eric Rudd took care of the details needed in getting them buried together at Arlington National Cemetery. As of this writing, I have visited my father there severa times, but we are currently waiting a date for my mother’s gravesite burial service. Red tape and bureaucracy can be stressful during the times we are dealing with the loss of a loved one, and Lowe Funeral Home has been wonderful at taking so much pressure off of our family.
I am a minister and I cannot recommend Lowe Funeral Home enough. I have worked with a lot of different funeral homes, here in Burlington, and I can say they are simply the best. They are professional and take a lot of stress off the family and the minister. One funeral home I felt it was almost self-service and gave no direction or help to the family or the service, the church even had to produce and print all the material for the service. Every time I hear I am meeting a family at Lowe’s I am relieved because I know the family will get the guidance they need and they will support the minister without overstepping.
