As good as it gets in New Bern for the sort of things that you buy here. There isn't a Home Depot (not that I could find, at least), and this city is very spread out. You'll either find the location convenient or not, depending on your starting point. The first visit, we needed to rent a truck to deliver some stuff to the boat. No dice...they rent neither trucks nor trailers. There is a U-Haul place a couple of miles away, though. The second visit, we needed some hardware and PVC pipe for the boat. Score!

The staff is very nice. Mrs Brenda was the lady I spoke with. She was very helpful. Restroom was clean. Store employees are very friendly and kind.

I visit Lowe's in New Bern NC at least three times a day and some days more. I work with a contractor in town that has a lot of jobs going on and it keeps me hoping all the time. The sales people there are always very helpful and very knowledgeable, and always point me or take me in the right direction. With my job I have to keep the engine running in other words I have to keep the supplies to the guys so they won't have to stop what their doing which means more production.

Bought a washer, dryer, and two pedestals in store. Was told that the washer and dryer were both in stock in store and would be delivered at the end of the week. They however only had one pedestal in stock so we would have to wait an extra week to get the pedestal delivered. Long story short we were called the morning the washer, dryer, and one pedestal were supposed to be delivered to be told they no longer have a washer in stock and we would now need to wait until one is ordered. We were without a washer and dryer for over two weeks because of this mistake. Once the washer, dryer, and pedestal were delivered we learned they didn't include the correct hoses for our steam dryer, luckily they had an extra one on the truck. They also sent the wrong pronged dryer plug. Now nearly a whole month later we are finally getting out pedestals after numerous calls to the store checking on the status of the pedestal. Was then told that one was never even ordered....so waiting even longer... Now it is finally here in the store and was told it would be deliver between 9am and 12pm. It is now 3pm and still no pedestals...whole day wasted for Lowes to FINALLY deliver what was supposed to be here nearly a month ago. Totally disorganized store. Never once received an apology.

There are other Hardware stores I go to in order to get competitive prices; sometimes Lowe's has more and the pricing; not always. So I give it a three star rating because of this.
