Do not open an account! The pro discount is not enough to go through the headaches that I went through. No one in the shop seems to know anything about anything. Few times you find a kind soul and he and she will help otherwise the hide if they see you coming down the alley. I started going to the Fairhope Ace and while they don't have the same inventory, the salesmen are kind, prompt, helpful and knowledgeable. No wonder the company is having problems. Advise to the company= "start with training and attracting the right employees"

Arrived early evening, weekday. Needed to reinstate Lowe's credit account so I could buy a new 'fridge. The clerk tried to help me, but she wasn't able to. In the meantime, three people came to the customer service desk and the clerk never acknowledged them. They waited at least 10 minutes before I left. One man said he never did get waited on! Decided I would go ahead and order the 'fridge and just pay cash. No can do; there wasn't anyone in the appliance section. Fast forward several days. I found someone to order my 'fridge for me, but now i can't get the thing delivered! First, delivery window is 12-4. I called the store at about 12:30 to see if they could narrow the delivery time. She said she couldn't but the driver would call 30 minutes ahead. The guy called my husband to say he was 5 minutes away. My husband told him that I was at the apartment (15 minutes away) and what happened to the 30 minute courtesy call! The guy showed up, apparently, and left.

I like shopping at Lowes because they have so many items at competitive prices. I had to get two sheets of plywood and there was no one around to help. When you do see an employee, they are very helpful.0

Helpful people but bad products. Kobalt brand (Lowes) is just not a good idea sometimes. Tried some aluminum ramps also that failed with half the weight rated load on them and cost me a couple hundred in damage, but hey I got my money back. No one makes quality anymofe I guess.

The people that work here are extremely nice and helpful but they have a huge problem with communication in the appliance department. They told me two different dates to expect my fridge to be delivered both times I cleared my schedule and near the end of the day no one showed so I called and sure enough I was told they changed the date, would have been nice if someone would have given us a heads up, not to mention they gave me a loaner and plugged it up in the garage because I guess it would be an inconvenience for them to have taken the doors off to get it in the door. After this I still decided to keep shopping here (thousands this year alone) I used their in home installation department for my gutters. The people that came told me they would come back the following week to finish up the left side of the house and that was over a month ago. Last weeks storm blew the small gutter off which was held on by one screw. I have sent pics to the managers cell phone and still no response. I will never use their in home services again and have decided to start shopping elsewhere because there is no excuse for it.
