This is the second time I've been here and loved it both times! It's so peaceful here and an excellent place to experience the Florida wildlife. I saw my first alligator in the wild here & was in awe. I live in Northern Indiana, so the only time I've seen one was at the zoo. I know there are many of them all over Florida, but I had been in the state many times since childhood and had never seen one. To see a very large one just across a very small river was an experience I'll never forget. I was thrilled that 10 years later I was able to come back to the park and have almost the same experience with my children. This one wasn't near as big or as close to me, but it was still just as cool!
I recommend this park to anyone who wishes to get away & be at peace with their surroundings for a while. It's a beautiful place. And it also helps that they have an Olympic-size swimming pool to cool off in after hiking! ;)

Just an awesome place. The trails are amazing, and my girlfriend rented some canoes or Kayaks and had a blast. Make sure you bring lots of bug spray if you want to walk the trails. The pool and rental place is pretty nice as well. The food was decent felt mom and pop home like feel to it.

I love going here! It's close to home but can also feel like a world away. The hiking trails are great with varying in strenuous ability.

The life guard wasn't nice at all. It cost too much to get in, just to swim in a pool. I spent over 40 dollars and didn't stay an hour. This place truly disappointed me.

Great campground and great pool. Except for the swooping buzzards. They swoop down in the pool for a drink.
