I don’t know about the other campsites, but this one was glorious! We stayed at campsite 13 our first night and thought it was the best spot, then due to availability, had to change to another spot, this time was number 62, best reservation ever! Campsite 62 is next to the river and in front of this massive rock wall that seems endless for me. It just absolutely beautiful, words can’t say enough about this spot. Yosemite took the believer out of me.

This campground is really good - the same as Upper pines next door. While there are hundreds of sites here and your neighbours are close you're not on top of each other. There are loads of toilets (no showers here, they are in Half Dome village just a quick walk or free shuttle bus away). Each site has its own table and fire ring. I was in 203 which was really close to the Happy Isles shuttle stop and really handy to the Mist, Muir, and Mirror Lake trails. Friendly rangers. Toilets were spotless.

Great location within the valley with close access to lots of highlights. Very family friendly. Camp sites are a little close together but that should be expected in this location. Good clean bathrooms with plumbing

Lower Pines was an awesome place to camp in Yosemite... It's quite deep into Yosemite Valley but the shuttle Congress directly to the campsite... You're also close to Half Dome Village and the start of several trails. The site itself is very comfortable... Each site isn't huge but there is enough room for a tent or camper van, your fire, and a picnic bench or two. Each site also has a bear-proof locker to use (don't need to share). Access to water, bathrooms, and dumpsters. The rangers are also really helpful. On top of that, one of the cheapest places to stay when visiting the valley. If you like camping this is for you.

Fun fact: lower pines has a slightly higher average elevation than upper pines (though a lower maximum elevation).
