This page is designed to provide LP&L customers the latest updates on our services, tips on conserving energy and relevant information pertaining to Lubbock community events.

In order to maintain a friendly and respectful environment for our customers, we reserve the right to remove comments, photos and other material deemed "unproductive" by the LP&L social team. This includes, but is not limited to, vulgar or defamatory language, threats, disturbing or inappropriate photos, aggressive or abusive behavior, spam and posting anything in violation of any intellectual property right of another. If someone persists in offensive behavior or continually violates any of the house rules, we reserve the right to block that person from further participation.

In 1916, the citizens of Lubbock Texas demanded reliable and competitively priced electricity and they used the West Texas Pioneering Spirit, not looking to others to meet their needs. They created their own municipal electric company that became Lubbock Power and Light.

In addition to providing electric service, Lubbock Power and Light also provides meter reading, billing, collection and customer service for water, sewer, storm water and solid waste services from the City of Lubbock Utilities.
