Great Chinese Food! Have been ordering food from here since 1985. Always prepared fresh & hot. Always pleasant on the phone. They know us by our 1st name. Order is always accurate. They always include my extra soy sauce. Hungry? Grab some food from here. You'll be satisfied!!Food: 5/5
We have been customers of Lucky Dragon for approx 20/yrs. Just about every time my husband comes back from picking up an order, he almost always makes a remark about the owner. About her memory concerning our order, or something else they were talking about. When it comes to our orders, she'll ask if we'd forgotten, and would like to add a pint of pork for our dog, or asking if we'd like root beers, which we ALWAYS get when we pick up our order!! When we originally moved to Essex, we tried A LOT of Chinese restaurants around here. And absolutely none of them tasted right. We decided to take a chance, and ordered at Lucky Dragon, and have never regretted it. To be honest, we almost wouldn't have ordered there that day! BUT, that day was a ridiculously rainy day, and neither of us felt like driving to the restaurant in Glen Burnie that was our "Go To" spot! The owner at Lucky Dragon always recognizes us, either in person, or when we order by phone. And, to me, that's actually a nice touch. It's something that doesn't happen at a lot of the other restaurants that we've routinely gone to, over the years. I have always ordered extra shrimp with my shrimp fried rice. And just this year decided to try adding scallops as well. The owner asked if I'd ever tried their seafood fried rice which was a cheaper option, even with the extra shrimp, and I hadn't. So, I ordered it, and was not disappointed in that dish either, at all. Through the years that we've been ordering there, we've never had a reason to complain. Parking: We've never had a problem finding a spot to park right out front. Unless, of course, it's around the holidays, but then that's normal everywhere!
My FAVORITE SPOT to get Shrimp Yat Gaw Mein & Orange Chicken! I love the owners! The lady at the front is very nice and remembers her customers. She knows how to build great rapport with her customers! I moved to Florida now but everytime I fly back home I ALWAYS stop back at my favorite Chinese spot!
I have been going to Lucky Dragon for over 20 years and have never once had a bad experience. My favorite is the curry chicken, because it is made a little different than the way other restaurants makes it. I've had nearly everything on their menu over the years.. as has everyone in my family.. and we absolutely love them.
We ordered a few thing's most were fine my complaint is about the Sweet & Sour chicken it was covered in pickles and pineapples and super soggy couldn't eat any of it wasted $10. I have never seen it made this way and I've ordered Sweet & Sour chicken from alot of places so I didn't know to ask how they made it. Very disappointing.
Always been the best shrimp fried rice
Ordered steamed dumplings. They weren't fully cooked and had black burned debris all over them. I'm not sure what was stuffed inside but it was pretty tasteless. The Singapore rice noodles tasted and smelled kinda like cigarette smoke. They also took forever to make the food. Probably about 45 minutes. I'd go next door to Little Cesar's horrible pizza before I spend more money here. Edit: The Singapore rice noodles also have black burned debris in it. Edit: The fortune cookies are stale.
I ordered shrimp yat I always order the same thing from Lucky Dragon!!! Normally the shrimp isn’t cook in ketchup this time when I open up my box All of the shrimp was red like if they cook it in ketchup!!!!! I already knew The shrimp must be BAD It was soft and mushy!
Should have read the reviews before choosing this place. These bad reviews are legitimate. I got the seafood lo mein. It had fresh unshelled crab meat in it. A friend got the wonton soup, It was greasy and the dumplings were undercooked. Another person got general Zhao, chicken was dry. The only reason I am giving them a Star is the appetizers were good and staff was friendly.
Always great service! Great food! Have been coming here for year!
