FIRST I would like to say Ludington Gallery & Gifts is a store featuring all things Made In Michigan. We have between 25 and 35 different artisan at any given time. They are a creative bunch and I do my best to accommodate each and every one to help them succeed. In 2016 we are opening a new area to cross market other small businesses in and around the Ludington/ Lakeshore area.   **In Response to Novajeans comments: It should be mentioned that she was paid for her items, the problem was she tagged the price she wanted on them and not the retail price- clearly nothing I could do about this- she wrote the tags herself. I am not responsible for you tagging your merchandise incorrectly. When you called to complain about the amount of your first check,  I did immediately pull you lovely pieces from sales floor at that time. I have stored these for over 2 years now (close to 3) at no charge, been forced to defend my stores credibility and reputation over and over because of your unfounded accusations. Additionally, if you had checked the store hours before you came to Ludington the ONE time, you would have known the store is never open Mondays unless it is Summertime or Christmas. In winter we're only open Thursday thru Sunday. You should have called ahead and made arrangements first, as it had been months (maybe 6-7?) since I heard from you at that point. The day you came to town, I was not even in Ludington, so all the rude phone messages were not going to help. I did appreciate the 6 page letters wanting to collaborate on projects, but I did not and do not want to encounter more problems with you down the line. Your pieces are still at the store, we are still doing a great business and if I have advanced notice, they can be picked up- as of now they are in storage while I figure out what to do with all the abandoned artist creations (as of 2016 I have about 8 artists that have either moved or just disappeared w/o picking up their things).  I find it exhausting to constantly explain the stores position over and over and frankly, I have considered defamation charges to compel you to stop, the Chambers, btw, sided with me after I submitted photo evidence of your merchandise, hand-written tags in your writing and contract signed with clearly marked artist/ store percentages in which you initialed all.  Again, everything is at storage waiting for pre-arrangements for years- I cannot do more, and at this point, will  not do more. I really am sorry your experience was not what you hoped for, but you have to take responsibility for your own errors and no amount of attacking LG&G will change that. Please stop posting bad reviews based on false information. Thank-you... and sorry about the book here... but sometimes I just want to set the record straight.

As an artist my experience was very disappointing. After a year I have still not been paid for items sold and have been unable to retrieve the unsold inventory after several trips there, registered letters, numerous unanswered phone calls and even the BBB trying. For shoppers she does have some nice things.
