Very very good for a newer restaurant.  I ordered fish & grits, hubby ordered chicken and churro waffles.  My meal was extraordinary.  It would help if the menu identified the type of fish.  It was whiting and well cooked. The grits were creamy & cheesy, a splash of tomato relish added a tangy twist.  The chicken was fried hard and the tender waffle was dusted with cinnamon sugar & sprinkled with blueberries.  Delicious!  Service was friendly and the decor is minimalist modern.  Vegetarian options: Veggies &amp; grits

LuLu’s Soulful Finesse !!!! Best spot in the Burg Pittsburgh/Wilkinsburg! A neighborhood Gem!! I’m amazed with the menu and highly satisfied every time I dine in or out, they never disappoint! The food is delicious, the owner and staff are very professional, helpful and friendly, love the ambiance! I definitely can see LuLu’s Soulful Finesse staying for the long run! I can’t wait to see the growth and future expansion !! If you’re not from the area it’s a must that you go and experience this food! Absolutely I’m love

LuLu’s was so great.  Service and atmosphere: We came with a very hungry toddler and they were prompt to get her order in and out quickly and even snuck in a popcicle on the way out. Black owned and LGBT friendly, the space is small they are looking to upgrade but with a modern and nice atmosphere. It’s just the couple running the whole show, so it took about 20 min to receive our food which is expected.  Food: For $40 we got two entrees and a side grits with fried fish, Nashville hot chicken, Mac and cheese, and the portions were enough for another meal of leftovers. The taste was spot on, though they don’t have some soul classics like collards or ribs. Menu is exhaustive despite the omissions. Another review mentioned not knowing what fish they ordered, maybe they updated the menu but it was clearly communicated the options. No specific kids menu but the portions are large enough to share. Can’t wait for them to be more established and have a fancy menu to match their vibe!  Anyone who doesn’t like this place is trying to compare it to something it’s not. It’s a must go, can’t wait to try their food again.

First of all I love the decor ! The ambiance is amazing and so are the owners and staff! Second the food was superb, I had the crab fries   and the honey jerk chicken   again it was amazing. But it’s the Black Excellence for me

What this place lacks in size it definitely makes up for in character and taste. The color scheme and personal photos on the wall really gave this resultant a comfortable atmosphere. Service was great, and the food was even better. Everything was hot and fresh and seasoned perfectly, I didn’t even need to touch a salt shaker! I will definitely be back again. The Crab dip and sea food grits are a must!

All I can say is WOW - 5 stars!!! We had the absolute pleasure to check out the soft opening at the best new restaurant in Pittsburgh area …Lulu’s by Soulful Finesse.  As someone who frequently travels and is a self declared foodie.… Lulu’s took us away. The Food and service were absolutely Amazing! Top notch presentation and flavor!!! We have been following Chef Neish for years and  always enjoy each flavorful bite! We already have our next meal in mind when we go back!  Make sure you check out what we had on our table! - Honey Jerk wings and Grilled Ceasar salad. -Cajun steak - Honey Jerk Lamb chops over risotto and peas -Oxtails over rice - and for dessert we have these delicious Desserts little fried dough served with some delicious caramel and berry

LuLu’s by Soulful Finesse did NOT come to play okk  the service was amazing, food even better. And the atmosphere was very nice and intimate. You can tell the chef puts love into this. I will be back  and Im telling all my friends  She even surprised me with salted Carmel cookies for my birthday

From Chef’s home cooking pop ups to finally owning her own restaurant, I have never patronized and been disappointed. The food is always fresh, made to order, and superbly executed. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. I ordered the fried lobster tail over lump crab fried rice. Dessert was a cookies and cream waffle w the works!

Best food I’ve had in a while. Easily the best food I’ve had in pittsburgh. The energy, vibes, and overall ambiance is so warm, welcoming, and pleasant. I walked in and felt at home. We came at a good time because we were sat quickly. My mother and I watched and drooled as other peoples food came out. Everything that passed us looked amazing and everyone around us thoroughly enjoyed there food. It felt like we were all family. Rico’s energy fits the environment perfectly. We weren’t rushed to order or leave. He was knowledgeable of the menu and quickly answered any questions we had. My mom ordered the whole sea and I ordered the deep fried lobster over crab fried rice. And when I tell you we wanted to lick the plate…..I’m not joking. The presentation was as perfect as the food was delicious. I can’t wait to visit again and try everything on the menu. It’s typical to meet a manager at dinner and they give you 30 seconds of their time just to make sure you’re not trying to get a meal comped but one of the owners walked by so we stopped her to ask a few questions and we had great conversation. It was nice to learn the backstory of Lulu’s, where they started, and their vision for the future. I wish nothing but the best for the owners and their future endeavors and look forward to seeing them grow!

Incomparable. Absolutely excellent food, service and presentation! Out of this world flavors. Thank you to Chef Niesh for coming out to introduce yourself and being so sweet and professional. Lu Lou’s is now one of my favorite restaurants
