Have not been to this store but have been reading the reviews in anticipation of going there. ATTENTION: The one person whom wrote the review and gave one star because she caught the owner shopping at Goodwill, alright, here is my unequivocal take on this. Hooray for her if she is doing this. The owner, who is allegedly doing this, deserves to mark it up for it is her benefit which is intelligent business. It shows diligence and perseverance that she takes the time to sift through, probably hundreds, of trash for each gem that she finds. I wouldn't think that a consumer would fault her for this. I've been to Goodwill and most of the items are not worth my effort. I have a friend who does find a treasure, or two, at Goodwill but has to sift through hundreds of items and spend an enormous amount of time to get a rare find. I read what one review stated and find it unrealistic that someone would expect this owner to do all this work and not mark up the item. Years ago, I spend 5 grueling hrs, at Goodwill, and found one sweater, the brand was WORTH, that fit me and met my satisfaction. I came out of there with a headache and promised myself, "never again". How fortunate to have someone do the work for us. and have it be a win/win situation.

Lux is awesome! Not only are their products super unique and eclectic, but the customer service is fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone who's into funky thrifting.

Lux is an excellent store and I have always had a great experience. Some points regarding previous negative feedback. 1) It is true that Lux is not a thrift store because they have an exchange model of business. You can trade you stuff for their stuff (lux$) or cash. They take only premium pieces from brand names or that are awesome for other reasons. It shoild be noted that they are not trying to advertise themselves as a thrift store either. 2) They are not over priced for a vintage/fashion exchange located in one of the busiest shopping areas in a metropolitan downtown. If you want there hoping to "steal" a Tori Burch dress for $2 then you should avoid this place. They have wonderful pieces that are laundered and taken care of and the price is perfectly reasonable. They are not Goodwill. 3) last and as a response to the feedback left before me. It is no secret to anyone that operators of vintage and fashion exchange stores go to thrift stores to source their  clothes. If you like thrift store shopping ( I actually love thrifting and sorting through clothes to find gems) and everything that goes with sifting through tons of clothes for a few good picks then I say more power to you. Some people want a middle man and if Lux is going to the thhrift stores then they are doing the dirty work many people don't want to do and charging a small increase in price to compensate their time. Lux has a great atmosphere and a good selectiokn of curated and well priced stuff. Go check em out for yourself.

I used to love Lux! I caught the owner buying a ton of stuff from goodwill to resell at their store. Keep in mind goodwill is usually 5 and under and their store is usually 30. Save yourself lots of money by cutting out the middle man and just going to goodwill. I thought they had unique vintage stuff, but it turns out they were just ripping us all off.

This place has tons of beautiful clothes, and the staff are incredibly friendly and personable. They're helpful with whatever you may want, and going here is always a good time. The prices can get fairly high, however, so be sure to think about how much you're willing to spend beforehand.
