Great campground. we have been here a few times.  We love taking our bikes, or just walking around the lake. holidays they bring in a DJ and you can dance the night away. much fun to be had by all ages. pool, hot tub, fishing, canoeing, game room, adults only room. Joyce is a great camp host and will take care of you. go have a good time.

I do not normally like to make a complaint about  a place or someone in the public. However, on this site I will.  first before I make my opinion or comments about this place remember that they are just my opinions. Before I  booked the place we made 2 visits to check it out to make sure location , condition, and amenities where what we was looking for. both visits we was told about several activities available and about the lake, and pool available. keep in mind, my main visit was for the lake.  well upon visiting and booking and making another trip as well as arriving for our reservations we was told not once, not twice but three different occasions as well as by three different personal you can swim in the lake and the lake was fine to swim in...  We headed to the pool first, which was very clean. However , it got packed like a can of sardines. Not big enough for the people that was coming in. people was basically on top of people to the point the adults was actually blocking the entrance for the small children to enter in and out of the pool.  We noticed a few people out on the lake playing volleyball. we decided to walk down to the beach/lake area to check things out. I can honestly say that was the worst lake I have ever seen in my entire life. Geese crap everywhere in the sand and water!  Not to mention so much green algae/slim in the lake that if you was to even get in the lake I swear you would come out looking like a green blob walking creature.  ( I mean imagine that mess in your hair) YUKE!!   I mean I wouldn't even be giving this place a 1 star but I have to even make this post. Now, keep in mind. I wouldn't have been so upset if in fact it wasn't for them making it out like the lake is all available and able to swim in. I feel like I was conned and I wasted my money, But hey you live and learn. right? If anyone in this area is looking for a great lake and place to camp  and lets not forget cheaper!  Pay a visit to Holliday Lake in Appomattox , VA. Just about another 30 mins. up the road. and well worth the money and visit. You do the comparison,  just a suggestion. But I can promise you this,Thousand Trails will never get another dime out of me!

Very nice Thousand Trails campground with full hookup sites, 50 Amp service,  an adult clubhouse,  snack bar, adult pool and hog tub hours.  Only negative is they have a on going battle with erosion.  Rain run off creates serious ruts in roadways.

This campground is for the no thrills camper. all the campsite are pretty nice, lake is pretty and pool is nice but could have been alittle cleaner. Staff are really nice. Would come back.

Beautiful lake and trees, BUT, we paid an additional resort fee for amenities; laundry facilities were not in working order, pool was drained, other areas were not as pictured. Quiet place, nice people, but not worth the money.
It seems like it has not been maintained in any area of the park. The walking trail around the lake is nice perk, but, still not worth the money.
