Beware: Bahamas immigration officers at Lynden Pindling are NOT properly trained to understand US extension visas (OPT). Absolute incompetence on behalf of Bahamas immigration staff and supervisors who (mistakenly) decided that I would be unable to re-enter the US with my travel documents and thus could not be allowed into the Bahamas. Guess where I am now? In the US, as I am rightfully allowed to be. TEACH YOUR OFFICERS HOW TO INTERPRET US EXTENSION VISAS-- AND ALL VISAS FOR THAT MATTER. It's part of the job description, right?

Very nice airport. Very good food options, very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the 3-man band when we arrived welcoming us. Trying to fly back home I had to show my passport five times which was a little over-the-top. But they still get five stars.

All in all, a surprisingly great airport, especially for a country with the population size of the Bahamas. We love to come home to our new airport. It puts the old one to shame and offers a surprisingly decent selection of shops and restaurants these days. Well run.

since its remodel, this is a beautiful small airport within Nassau.  Very cozy and very welcoming.  In departures, you will find a handful of stores to purchase gifts and food from.

Physically a nicer airport than our departure -- Ft Lauderdale. My major beef is with passport control. We stood in line for nearly 90 minutes. I'm a seasoned international traveler and that was a record for me -- by a substantial sum. Obviously there are peak times, days... And officers can only work so fast. So either force airlines to stagger arrival times or install more booths to house more officers to process visitors faster. Not a positive first impression.
